They support each other.

I have some asian friends and they have tight knit support systems. One of my asian friends, his parents paid for his college but they did it so he could focus on school. He's in med school now and he's gonna make the money back his parents INVESTED in him when he's practicing medicine. That initial money they poured into him is gonna be returned back with a much greater interest and socioeconomic power.

A lot of them try and make sure they look out for each other economically. That goes a long way. We need to stop spreading this lie that "college is a waste of time/money" or wasting dollars at diploma mill schools. Get into a real state college with acredited degree programs, get a major with realistic job prospects, hustle hard to earn top marks, get an internship over the summer and it can go a long way into getting your foot in the door. These immigrants get it but these smart dumb nikkas wanna play stupid.
:pachaha:

My roommate is nigerian, stuck it out as a biochem major and when he told the company he was working for that he was a biochem major in the interview, they hired him on the spot because they know the difficulty of that program and they asked him when he could start. The interview was over before it was even started. He's rising up pretty fast and his family supported him heavily and he's planning on getting his masters soon. Them nigerian connects don't play.:stylin:

I'm a chemistry major, I'm AA, a lot of my family is just BSing around but I wanted different for me and my family so I hustled to make it happen. I want to take care of my fam and create a dynasty of intelligent and well connected people. Both of my families come from military careers and welfare families.

because theyre the best of the best in their country....just like the nfl....everybody in the nfl was the shyt in college

This is basically the right answer.

They benefitted from the Hart-Celler Act

The Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965
The Hart-Celler Act abolished the national origins quota system that was American immigration policy since the 1920s, replacing it with a preference system that focused on immigrants' skills and family relationships with citizens or U.S. residents

Majority of them are qualified enough to meet the criteria. Like the poster above said, they are the best of the best in their country.

For example

70% of Indians in America have a bachelor's degree as opposed to the US average of 28% (considering the US has, one of, if not the the highest number of degree holders in the world). Compare that with India

The average Indian in the US is 10,000 times more likely to have a doctorate than the average Indian in India. <--- According to a book I read. This figure is not hyperbole on my part

If you've got the BALLS to leave your country, the only place you and everyone else around you has EVER known, then you've got the balls to get ahead in the world.
immigrants do well b/c they are the "go-getters" of their country. Thats why.

You need a certain amount of drive and hustle to come to a new land and make it.

These are the only right answers.

Why do you think your family couldn't get successful in your native country? Was it your ethnicity? Skin tone? Family background? It's likely that the same reason why your family couldn't make it over there is the reason why American blacks struggle over here.

People forget there is a systematic pressure to keep blacks at a certain level. They just won't hire, won't give as many black people a chance as they will immigrants. Perhaps it's because there is less physical disparity between whites and non black immigrants, or perhaps with the black ones, it's the fact they don't have our legacy. The darker your skin and the kinkier your hair, the harder it is to get a job even if your education and experience are adequate. It's even harder for black males. Many companies don't want to hire black men because they think their clientele is afraid or won't like them and they'll get less business. Most blacks have always had to over prove themselves. It can be a matter of taking advantage of opportunities- my family did. I am. But I'm still not ignorant of what's going on around me. Also immigrants are directly benefiting from the civil rights movement and the blood sweat and tears of black people and our ancestors. Without their struggle you would not be able to make it here. Show some respect and do some research.

Immigrants are willing to do the work most Americans look at as beneath them.
