Man, living in an apt, you might see some people from time to time, but living on a house on a quiet block, nosy neighbors peeking out the window all know exactly when you come and go at all hours of the day.
Smoke that's fine but not in my vicinity. I work in the Philly area and nothing but bums and crackheads blowing trees going nowhere fast...
And I gotta have that smell coming down the hallway of my 500k penthouse? I don't deal with degenerate behavior...

The house
I need a garden and yard for my landscaping. I like the satisfication of picking the vegetables, and it’s therapeutic.
Plus, I would hate having to use an elevator, I don’t want to live in a city environment, I don’t want to deal with people every time I want to leave or come in, and I want easy parking for guests

Ideally single-family home in the city. If I have to choose, it's the penthouse. 40 mins to an hour outside the city is way to much for me.

Anyway me i'm taking the penthouse, but actually I'm not really a fan of these extra-modern penthouses on the 40fth floor or whatever. Looks like you're living in an office or a showroom lol. I love the view but would rather have something cozier, lower, not in the middle of the action but not in the suburbs either.

Going up to Sacre cour was a different story though, which is why I specified city center.
