if i am the nuggets i am trading Jamal Murray and MPJ :francis: going to waste Jokic prime with those two bums

Nah you all the way buggin here.

Jamal Murray is the only reason they even reached the Semis and eventual Conf finals back in 2020.

Nuggets as a team doesn't work without him on the court because you know no one is gonna drop points on your head like that outside of Jokic.

Offense becomes way more dynamic and fluid with Murray on the floor, stop it.

I'm a Jokic fan but this shyt is hilarious

Denver will always need elite defenders (preferably a PF) around Jokic. Especially come playoff time and the deeper they get into the playoffs. Because elite teams (like the warriors) will pick on him in a 7 games series.

You saw that in 2020 vs the lakers (and last night vs the warriors) where they involved in in countless pick and rolls for easy scores in the paint or open jumpers.

He doesn't have the foot speed to stay in front of folks and so he sags off on pick and rolls. But then that allows the player he is defending to set multiple picks to get players open shots on the perimeter (as Draymond was doing last night). If he is isolated on a wing player they can just blow by him on the switch. So your team is always scrambling and will require high IQ elite defenders to cover Jokic's issues on defense.

Hell and that ain't even including how teams who can run like to push the ball against denver (which even the old ass lakers did in 2020) come playoff time to make Jokic run (who is often times not in the best of shape).

Its the same situation the Mavs had with Dirk. They had to always have elite defenders around him in order to compensate for his poor defense. Teams would pick on him in pick and roles switches, attack him in the paint and attack him in the fast break because it was normally an easy bucket.

You had a history of this in the 2007 playoff series vs Warriors. The 2008 playoffs when vs the Hornets in which Chris Paul and West ran pick and roll after pick in roll involving Dirk. The 2015 playoffs vs the Rockets where they picked and rolled Dirk so bad they damn near played him off the court or even the 2012 playoffs where Durant, Westbrook and Ibaka had a field day feasting on drives or drive and kicks for easy dunks and layups attacking Dirk since the Mavs did not resign chandler that year.

You also saw it in the 2006 series vs the spurs. The Mavs won that series, but there was a situation that was mentioned. The spurs really didn't run but the announcers mentioned how Finley and Parker were making a concerted effort to attack Dirk on fast breaks knowing that either Dirk would foul them or move out of the way to let them finish. Finley even had a couple of poster dunks on Dirk in this series due to Dirk not even trying to contest his dunks.

Jamal the only reason Fatkic got to a WCF :dahell:.. where he was trash and couldn't do nothing with Dwight. You buggin out. He was droppin 40 and step back 3s on Kawhi and PG head top and was lookin historic in that Jazz series to come back. He was probably Denver best player that playoff run. Without a dynamic guard, ballhandler, bucket getter like that he ain't finna do shyt in the playoffs and Denver will be perennial schemed frauds :camby:
:coffee: Denver is not winning shyt with Jamal as the PG, they made it to the WCF during the bubble and have not done shyt since.

How old you because it’s been pop culture for over 20 years.
Nah, it was starting to get more popular back then, but it definitely wasn't straight up pop culture. Like I still would have gotten clowned if I came to school with a dragon ball z shirt on.

Yeah but everyone was watching it, I was a kid back then so maybe that’s the difference if you were 13-16 coming in a dragon ball z shirt you probably would get clowned, heck you probably still would get clowned till this day lol.

There is a reason I say Trae is the best offensive player in the NBA and not Jokic. You can't wear Trae down, he wears you down. With Jokic, you can run him down. Phoenix did it last year and GS is gonna do it this year.
Trae is just a lot better than Jokic offensively. Trae biggest flaw is, he's just a below average open court player but that don't mean shyt in the playoffs as it does in the RS.

Trae getting slept on when he's the best in the game offensively. Nothing like him. Every offensive possession, he puts maximum pressure on your defense. Jokic is RS elite. A lot of the shyt he do is because you don't have time to gameplan around it in the RS. The problem playing against Trae is like Reggie Miller, he has time to gameplan against you in the playoffs. To me, it was never close. I know Jokic deserved MVP this year but he's flawed playoffs wise. I don't think Murray or Porter Jr is the answer either.
I hate fans with zero Basketball IQ and don't watch the NBA as much as I do. Shut the fukk up when someone who's knows what they are talking about is talking.
Its facts, watch all Trae games. Ain't nothing like him offensively, especially in the playoffs. In the RS, he take too many possessions off but in the playoffs. That nikka is playing chess at a chess master level. Just watch that shyt.

Watch Jokic, all of the RS excellence goes away when teams scheme it away. We saw Phoenix do it last year. We are seeing GS do it this year.

There is levels to this shyt. Jokic for the RS, is one of the GOATs offensively. In the playoffs, he's not that guy.
Trae's first playoff game of the season:

1-12 from the field
6 turnovers.

It didn't even take a day for these takes to age horribly. Why do this to yourself @#1 pick?

Wherever nikkas need to be told on
I’ma basketball fan first and Nuggets fan 2nd

I can’t front, GSW has left quite the basketball legacy over the past decade and as a fan of the game I’m in awe of what they’ve accomplished

Draymond might have some gray in his beard but seeing how they play it don’t feel like much has changed

At times I’ve found them arrogant but gaddamn if the players don’t back shyt up

The way they hoop and the talent they put on the floor is what allows Lacob to say pompous shyt like they’re light years ahead of the rest of the NBA and for that shyt to not sound too outlandish

It was good for the game to have Steph, Klay, and Dray on the same floor during a home playoff again; unfortunately, for me it was against my Nuggets

Now I don’t get in my feelings after Game 1s (I usually wait until Game 3s :russ:) but I can see it’s going to be tough for my Nuggets to win this series unless they play perfect basketball and even then that might not be enough

I might feel differently if we had a healthy Murray and MPJ but that lineup of Steph, Klay, Dray, Poole, and Wiggins looks fukking devastating and I’m not sure who is matching up with that, excluding nobody

Thing I like about playoff basketball is seeing what adjustments are made from game to game

The first game got out of reach when GSW unleashed the new ‘death lineup’; will be interesting to see how Denver responds to the movement and shooting when that lineup is on the floor again and it will be interesting to see if Jokic can bounce back with a better game against Dray and GSW’s bigs who played him pretty well

Looking forward to what Game 2 brings

Refreshing to have such an honest take on this side of the board.

:salute:

The league is lucky the Warriors have got a handicap of having arguably the worst big man rotation in the league, to go long with having to carry Wiggins. They would truly be light years ahead if they didn't have those two things dragging them down. It is a shame though that the Nuggets can't put out the best version of themselves out on the floor. After such a good season, all things considered, the inevitability of them falling in the 1st round was something I'd imagine was something lingering not too far by.
