The kirk to the fields
I've been saying this in some form for a while but y'all get heated every time. Minimum for a comfortable life is 70K as a single man. 100K if you want to start a family within a marriage. Probably 150-200K If you are the sole provider. And you need to be making that consistently.
My pops made less than 100k in NYC and we lived pretty comfortably. Even went to private school from pre-k to 8th grade

Uh. I can tell you from personal experience. That's a lie. I know families where the woman is a housewife and the man wasn't making 100k.

I knew families like this too in the 80’s. I live in central NJ 100k out here ain’t cutting it unless you live in a apt or very modest home. Then add kids on top of that! You make 100K you bring home about 70k.

I don't see anything wrong with what she said. It's 2022 and looking at this inflation, $100k ain't cutting it if you have kids and want a certain lifestyle.
