He's already shown the ability and/willingness to commit. We know women initiate the divorce 70% of the time because men have little to no incentive to do it for financial reasons.

The goal post moved when you decide to inject a disingenuous example.
So it moved when you were proven wrong.

Very well

Simple google search:

This is 2021 so not too outdated either

Again. It was 2021.

The study shows AT EVERY AGE GROUP, married men earn more. So no, it doesn’t mean single people aren’t getting promoted. But it clearly shows it will put a cap on the majority of single men when compared to married ones. That’s definitely what I’d call a hinderance

If you and a married man are going for the same job, you both might get it but he’s making 10k more for no other reason than being married, then you’ve been limited

Interesting

So does this study make the distinction that the Married Men got promoted into higher positions because he was married vs the Man was already in a higher position with a higher salary then decided to get married afterwards?

Yes.. That is one of the main things the study was out to prove. The other was if married men just get the job cause they married.. Neither is found to be true

They say it's a combination of 1. Married couples have more savings, therefore they don't have to jump at the first job 2. Married couples won't take the first job handed to them. Because they have two incomes, or one when the other is not working, it allows them a cushion to not have to leap at the first job offered and wait for those that pay out more

But there are a few things that are fact. 1. There is a married men wage gap that rises above single men and women and married women. 2. The other three demos don't out-earn each other (showing that married women don't magically make more money cause they had more money coming in) and 3. Married men get promoted and climb the ladder faster than the other 3.

The only thing up for debate is WHY...

And to homegirl, they did factor in education as well: Quantitatively, household search explains 10–33 percent and 20–58 percent of the premium for males and females, respectively, and accounts for its increase with spousal education.

But some questions are illegal. You could report it to EOO.
This stuff usually comes up two ways…if you’re already working for a company they already know your behavior and work patterns. People know who has to leave by 4:15 everyday to pick up their kids because those people make it very clear that’s what they’re doing.

The second way is during interviews people talk about their family and children a lot to seem relatable. This works well for men, but not so much for women. It makes men look well rounded and women seem flaky. People always question whether women with kids will need to take a lot of time off, but seldomly do with men.

Times are changing but not only does performance indicate if you’re stable and consistent or not but I do believe that also being married will be seen positively and as an indicator for future success being an indicator of stability and reliability.

Wow married men make 3% more :mjlol:

They have to pay for their children and wife. This isn't the flex you think it is
Wife ain't working? Who is out here paying for their wife?

And it's damn near 40k at some ages
