Alex played well for the most part. I just don't get the butthurt. If Peyton can get criticized for being damn near flawless but not quite good enough then so can Alex.

For the last time, he played well enough to win. His D let him down. All I said is I think he's too risk averse to win shootouts or come from behind. Not a knock on him.

I feel you breh..... And it's not about being butt hurt or etc. But it's just all the talk this year about the Defense defend defense. Calling him aren't Dilfer and etc.

The D should've NEVER gave up like that. Don't matter if it was him, or Manning, or Joe Montana himself.

When a QB does his job..... Put points on the board.... The D HAS to do their part

We also gotta stop that "he did his job" bs too. When you're part of the team you have the game in your hands for 60 minutes. They scored 31 points in the first half and could hardly sustain a drive in the second. So Smith had a hand in the highs and the lows and they ended up losing.

That's all we're saying.
if my defense allows 10 pts Im expecting to win
if my offense scores 40+ pts Im expecting to win
yes, things can be and are situational, but in general that is true

I consider that outcome a job being done. maybe you can get even more, sure, but thats enough. like Ive said, alex had a few mistakes, and couple of big ones. yet overall it was a good game for offense and him , especially without his best player for all of the game pretty much, I dont understand how its not.

if youre talking about me I wasnt offended you saying smith is too risk averse, because its true.

Im offended because people view 'risk averse' like its a bad thing in football.
its bullshyt imo.
the whole 'play not to lose' mentality being bad is something I COMPLETELY disagree about.

Risk averse is not bad. It's bad though when it prevents you from making a play. IMO that's the only thing that's preventing him from being a really good QB. Luck is pretty risk averse himself but he won't let that prevent him from making a play.

Alex is the least of the Chiefs problems but if we're talking about him, I'm going to bring that up.

i gotta disagree with that being Smith's fault. He was making plays in the 2nd half to keep drives going.

The real question is why did Andy Reid decide to go one dimensional at 38-17. I would be surprised if they had more than 10 designed run plays in the 2nd half. It was probably more like 5 or 6.

Funny you mention Jason Campbell because his career was on the same path as Smith...one guy got chance after chance and the other got tossed. But keep race baiting.

Race baiting? :heh:

So the #1 pick QB got more chances? :ohhh:

Chances to have 5 OCs in his first 5 seasons, be named the back up to JT fukking O'Sullivan, take a pay cut and restructure his contact because the Niners wanted to bush him, back up Shaun fukking Hill, and lose his starting job again after coming back from injury, after playing the best in his career and going like 20-7

Those chances :whew:

Nikkaz perplexed that Andy was still slanging it with the game out of reach?

I think Andy was similar to Smith. They both did well the 1st 1/4 to 1/2 the game then not so well in the last 1/4 1/2 of the game. That D though...terrible. It's going to be interesting to see what they do. Alex will get a big contract and they got some other guys that will get big deals. I think Bowe gets tossed.

Ill say all of those were right decisions at the time (and now tbh) and smith 'deserved' all of them.

I'm not even about to have that discussion...just felt the need to call you out on that.

You really neeed to cool it with the race baiting.

It's the truth.

It aint race baiting either, it's the way of the Coli.

Black posters bring up race constantly, They clearly state they root for players because of skin color alone. But let a white poster bring that up. and it's race baiting?

I`m just stating what is already out there. If Vick were to do what Smith were to do, this place would call him a God. It's the same thing with how Russel Wilson and Smith do essentially the same thing and one is called an MVP and the other a scrub.

I`m not stupid, I see how it works

that excuse is weak because they ran the ball, and ran it well, with Davis in there in the first half. Charles only played 2 drives.

Nikkaz perplexed that Andy was still slanging it with the game out of reach?
im not perplexed because thats what Kool Aid man does. What Im doing is putting more of the onus on him.
