Why are y'all trying to insert Ryback like he's a major force? I guess you're just accepting the inevitable and he'll be hanging around for awhile but he just isn't cutting it as a heel right now. It'd be ideal for the Del Rio's and the Miz's of the world but he needs to be replaced in the main event. It's time for another random mid-card heel push. I've loved those since the Attitude era. It seems like the random midcard pushes have much more force and the character is interesting. First one that comes to mind is that random Val Venis heel push of 1999 which had him feuding with all three top faces at once and of course R-Truth. They BLEW that big time.
YES.
The E's heel division is lacking something serious. As said, Ryback's not cutting it. The best heels in the company right now are arguably The Shield, who have been booked pretty well, but obviously aren't going to be in WWE/World Title feuds yet. They need a good, believable heel pushed to that WWE Title level. Curtis Axel is a step in the right direction, but for all we know they'll fukk that up too.
As far as a random midcard push (which I fully support), I think a guy like Antonio Cesaro pushed to the main event scene could surprise a lot of people, in a good way. Other than him, I think they could even make it work with Barrett or Rhodes, if properly executed. I honestly can't think of many other possibilities.
Also, on the subject of improving the product, I'd like to see more focus on the tag team division, but that's another story.
