Kinda feel bad for the folks that were coming of age during this era of music. shyt may be pretty trash radio/billboard wise today, but the 07-09 era was the foundation of it (though I'd say it started in 2006 and ended in 2010, but it was REALLY bad the years in between).

Everywhere...You never there.
They were over though. Argue with the booking all you want but they were more over than some of your favorites.

Nas : Halle Berry blew a kiss at me. :ahh:

Halle Berry : :usure: Wrong.

Hurricane Chris : Halle Beeerrrryyy, Halle Berry

Halle Berry :

"Smarten Up Nas" but did Nas smarten up? Nope, still trying to get that chain mat wrestling over.

hurricane got more accolades off this than most of your favorite rappers have gotten in a lifetime off their entire discographies...

the same Louisiana state legislature recognized that man, too :heh:

I've been saying for a couple years to old heads who complain about current mainstream rap that the ringtone era is by far the worst Hip Hop era ever. Mid - Late 2000's was god awful. The blessing in disguise was the fact that right before streaming became the norm, underground/indie hip hop flourished and now we are on the tail end of the most diverse decade Hip Hop has ever seen. whatever rap you like there are dozens doing it very well and it is mostly all easily accessible through streaming apps.

facts...i'd extend that to 05, 05-09 were soooo bad with 07-09 being peak trash. i remember around 2014/2015 i was saying how much i wish music coming out then woulda coincided with my prime clubbing years (05-12) because that ringtone/"do a dance like this"/bama ass rap that dominated the clubs was sooooo bad.

i will say outside of the club/dance singles, there were great albums being dropped by kanye, TI, jeezy, ross, jay, and prime gucci
