If you spend life waiting for the perfect time to do shyt, you might not ever do shyt. I did what I felt was best. I'm naturally analytical, probably why I work as an analyst. Sometimes that shyt is my curse and I overthink life instead of living it. Plan B's are overrated. I'm gonna be straight
Aight best of luck from one breh to another :salute:

If I got fired, at least I would be able to draw unemployment. fukk you mean:dame: Getting fired would have been a victory.
Aye so what does an analyst do, i always see openings for that when im job hunting so i assumed it had a high turn over rate.

Well, I see the term analyst being applied to damn near every job these days. I saw a posting for a customer service analyst on indeed:dead:

But generally, an analyst is gonna be looking at data and making decisions based on what they see. That's a very simplistic definition for it. There are certainly levels to that shyt. Being an analyst can involve forecasting (projecting future numbers) creating models, generating reports, etc...

I was a fraud strategical analyst. I worked for a bank. I would review data from on accounts that we had fraud on and make reports to another part of our fraud strategy team on how to write code on when to block charges. I would have to look at client spending patterns, historical and current fraud trends, high fraud areas, high risk merchants, etc... For instance, I might see a trend with a high percentage of fraud on Apple Pay transactions and relay to our coders to write some shyt that would monitor those charges more strictly. It's much more than that but I'm just giving you a brief overview.

A lot of the analyst jobs are in the financial world and a lot of them involve heavy excel usage, but all don't. I wouldn't say analyst jobs ave high turnovers. I think people are just using the term more for position descriptions. The bank I worked for called our customer service reps analyst:mjlol: when they're not really analyzing anything. I know those positions have high turnover because they are phone jobs.

I feel you bro. I got so many calls from people at the job telling me how much courage I had lol. Life is hard; you have to balance spontaneity and responsibility. Even though this was a spur of the moment decision, it was brewing for a while. I just finally got the courage one day to day fukk it.

This was bigger than the job for me. I have always struggled with talking myself out of stuff that I really wanted to do. Whether it be starting my own business or leaving a job.
I really be over analyzing my life. You just gotta live this shyt man. Everyone's path is individual. It would be irresponsible for me to tell you to stay or leave. But I will say this. t the end of the day you want to be happy

31:flabbynsick: I'm kind of a late bloomer in the professional world, even though I was one of the youngest people in my department. I have a sealed felony for a dope charge on my record. I shouldn't even be working in the banking industry. I really beat some odds. Everything I get is a blessing. These motherfukers ave no idea that I used to sell dope and did time. Till this day I still get nervous that my background will come back with the felony, but it never does

Edit: I never actually applied for that job you're talking about which is crazy. They saw my resume on indeed and contacted me. That's why I think I may get it, they knew I couldn't do half that shyt from the jump. I don't want to post the company until I hear back about the job. But it's a major bank, they're always hiring for multiple positions. Not sure where you are at, but it's in Atlanta. You can PM me if you want.

I have a mortgage and wife to think about before I make any moves like that. People living at home with their parents still can make brash decisions like that though. Cant even fathom if kids were in the picture how someone could make a snap decision like that.
:umad:

Them things u own own you

I just quit my job after 2 years cuz I wasn't feeling the lack of promotions.. I usually move up pretty fast but this organization is all about brown nosing.... I don't get down like that.

I've got money to float me for 6 months while job hunt and I also have a side gig. Don't live @ home.

So, what will you do if they want a job reference? What will you tell your future job the reason for leaving?

Damn breh, I would've at least put in a two weeks notice and tried to leave on good terms in case I needed a reference :dame:

Hopefully it works out for you tho. :yeshrug:

So, what will you do if they want a job reference? What will you tell your future job the reason for leaving?

One thing about it, I was a fukking beast at my job. I guarantee I could walk in that bytch tomorrow and have my job back. With that said, I will use the number and email of my homeboy who is assistant vp of a different department. The jobs on't know any better. I could use my boss as reference and I bet he wouldn't say shyt bad about me. But to be safe, I'll just use my homeboy.

Only thing that may happen is that HR may deem me not rehirable, but i don't give a fukk bout that:dame:

I didn't cause a scene, I just quit on the spot, in a respectful manner. Sometimes you just have to do what you have to do and deal with the consequences later.
