I have a mortgage and wife to think about before I make any moves like that. People living at home with their parents still can make brash decisions like that though. Cant even fathom if kids were in the picture how someone could make a snap decision like that.
don't be mad because you can't move freely, slave.

Congrats!!! I think not having a job is like when you get into a relationship. All of a sudden people become interested. Good luck in finding a new position! And just know there are several ways to make money (legally) that you shouldn't feel forced to work a job you don't like. Never be afraid.

Point taken but now he has a bad reference for future employers.

LMAO well if they fired you, would you want to use that company as a reference? Like I'm sure you'd find a way to work around it.

I got a weak ass business administration degree. My resume is on point, but still. For some reason, I been getting a lot of feedback from jobs that I'm under qualified for. I figured out that those job descriptions are wish list, even if they say requirements. These jobs shoot for the best and take who they can get. The Financial Analyst job I applied for says they require an MBA:shaq2: But them fools contacted me based on my resume with my Bachelors and I didn't even apply for that position.[/QUOTE]

This part alone might warrant its own thread. I constantly apply for jobs Im not qualified for and still get hit back sometimes. My last job before this one I didnt have the required degree or experience, but walked in to an open interview and talked my way into it. Im the only person in the history of that company to work there without the required credentials.

People get intimidated by that wish list, but majority of the time, that application will get looked at just like any other.

Did the same thing when I was 23. Quit my job, went back to school, and after i graduated was making pretty cool money and living comfortable.

Lost my last job though and pretty much had to start from scratch:snoop: I'm working again and while it's not ideal it's full-time and I'm planning to go back to school for my English degree.
What are you going to do with that degree?

This strategy certainly doesn't apply to every situation. I have a wife and son. Couldn't even think of making such a decision. Whenever I need to leave a job, I will always have to make sure something else is lined up. Like others have said, if you don't have a family to support, I guess you could do this if you have something saved up for several months.
