You hitting that pipe hard as shyt. Never quite your job without another lined up. My homie worked in the Comcast call center and the nicca told me "Allah" said it's time to quit his job. That nicca is still struggling to this day with stable employment :snoop:

Well, I didn't JUST quit it. But this morning, around 10:00 Eastern, I said fukk this shyt. I gave my Access badge to my boss, said this isn't for me, and calmly walked out. My boss and one of the other higher ups looked at me befuddled as hell as I exited stage left. I could faintly hear my boss saying "you don't have to do this" as I made my way towards the elevator:mjlol:

I was looking for other jobs for the last few weeks, so it wasn't totally out the blue, but I definitely didn't plan on leaving this job before I secured another one. Also, I had a interview for a nice financial analyst job last week and I'm waiting to hear back on that, so I wasn't jumping all the way out the window. Nevertheless, I have no idea when my next check will be and where it will be from.

I keep wanting feel remorse or like I mad an irrational decision, but I swear I feel nothing of the sort. The more time I have to analyze this decision, the more I feel that I should have been did this. It was a decent paying job in a good field, but I hated my job and hated going to work. So it's real simple, I quit that bytch. Life is really that simple. We are the ones who complicate it.

I got on Seinfeld late because I always thought it was some white people shyt:ld: but once I gave it a shot, and saw that nikka George, I fell in love (no homo) One of my favorite episodes was when this fool George made a decision to do EVERYTHING the opposite of how he would usually do it. Well, shyt started popping for dude as soon as he started living like that. It's a sitcom, but that episode has a deep meaning for me. It's an ode to bucking the status quo and a reminder of how we can be so scared of the unknown.

Crazy thing is, not even 2 full hours after I quit, I had a call about a compliance analyst job paying $30 an hour. Got a phone interview this week. I also got two emails about jobs. One for a pricing analyst, for which I setup a phone interview for this week. The other one is for some fraud company. I'm sure they will set something up with me. Everyone has different circumstances which plays a part in their decision making, but my advice is to live your life, go with what you feel, and don't worry too much about what's next. Life has a funny way of working itself out. Feel me:yeshrug:

@SparkMcGwire I salute you. I did the same shyt at least twice in my life and on both occasions it turns out that I made the right decision. I went through a couple of bumps in the road financially, but I felt free of the bullshyt. Scary, but liberating both at the same time. You will land on you feet; with a little bruising, but you will be fine.

nikka I'm happy, that all that really matters.

Update: I haven't heard anything back about that Financial Analyst position yet. They said the were making a decision this week. I'm in the middle on this one. I still; have hope that I get it, but if I don't hear from them by the Friday, it's probably a wrap. I REALLY wanted that one too:mjcry:

Had a phone interview for a pricing analyst job too. That shyt went:patrice: I have no idea if they will call me in for a face to face. The salary is the exact minimum I would take.

On the non job related tip life has been wonderful:blessed: I went to LA Fitness this morning from like 9:00 to 12:00 and had the whole court to myself. My nikka who works for the hawks told me he got me a ticket to some draft party they're having. A chic that worked at the job I quit gave my homeboy her number to give me:gladbron: Had no idea she was feeling a nikka. I been wanting to smash, but a nikka never said anything for the sake of professionalism.

Nothing wrong with leaving a job, but it's disrespectful to leave without notice. Taht's just a bad review you'll get when your next employer starts checking your history...

My thing is brah...u mightve killed these opportunities u have coming your way. Ive left a job in a situation like that (mine was a bit different...I couldnt peform my job due to injuries/surgeries)...but i struggled trying to explain myself in interviews. Companies dont like that shyt...how do you plan on explaining it?

Im completely with you..theres times u just need to get the fukk out of what ure doing...but dont discount the potential consequences that come with it. Advice to others: if at all possible, line that next job up first if at all possible. If not...fukk it, figure out a way to make it work
