SFMOMA just had a sound based exhibit...was pretty dope. This piece, Visitors, by an Icelandic artist was incredible. You entered a large dark room with 9 large screens, each showing different rooms in a large mansion. Each room had people playing piano, bass violin, banjo, etc and singing a song in unison in different harmonies. Throughout the 60 mins, the artists would move from room to room...congregating at certain screens, which caused the whole room of random people watching to congregate together. It was pretty moving.
I’d explore audio/visual art like that.
