They shouldn't trade Okafor or Noel yet. They need to see if Embid can be healthy for at least a half a season before they entertain that notion. Along with Saric and Simmons they have to many bigs but if ben or Dario can play the small forward spot full time that at least helps that problem. If you trade Jahlil you are getting rid of the only one who you know will at least be a high level scorer and decent rebounder over the years. Nerles will never average over 15 a game and Embid has the highest ceiling of course but you don't know what you are going to get with him. So they need to let them play a while together first and see how the chemistry is before they decide to trade one.

IMO Sixers Brehs... I HOPE Saric comes this year! I think they will probably trade Okafor away. If you look at the way Brett Brown is trying to shape the team, he wants players that can do a lot of different things on the court. Handle, play off ball, post up, face up, pass, defend, get up & down the floor, etc.... Jah is talented, but he only does one thing really well. Score! (I like to think he could eventually round out his game.) So he's probably traded for a draft pick or two. Canaan, Thompson, & Stauskas could be gone too! I wouldn't mind replacing them with (my list) Evan Fournier, Seth Curry, & Gerald Henderson. (If they could manage to get those deals done.)

They could roll out a starting lineup of:
C. Embiid
PF. Saric
SF. Simmons
SG. Fournier
PG. Curry

Bench:
Noel
Grant
Covington
Henderson
McConnell
Luwawu-Cabberot
Landry
Holmes
(maybe Shawn Long)
etc..

My little Coli GM two cents.. :myman:

One has to get dealt though. There won't be enough clock to go around for all three bigs. Trade value goes down.

Assuming Embiid is healthy, the projected starting lineup is...

Embiid
Simmons
Covington
Statkus
Smith

With Okafor, Noel, McConell, others off the bench...

Okafor or Noel need to be traded for shooting guard or upgrade at point guard, Covington isn't bad for starting the 3 spot.

I think Okafor for Monta Ellis or Rodney Stuckey(or both), Jordan Hill picks is good deal for both teams

Okafor ain't coming off the bench breh

Yea, I agree, I just dont think for spacing reason if he is still with 76ers to start the season that him and Embiid can start together with Simmons playing small forward. Simmons being the number 1 pick is going to start just for hype if no other reason, and at this point he more suited to play power forward than small forward. But I can envision a scenario were Okafor starts and Embiid coming off the bench to ease him into the pro game....

I'd start okafor and Noel. Bring Embiid and Simmons off the bench. One is coming off of injury and the other is a rookie. See how all four do and try different combinations to see which two work best together. The 4th guy I try to trade for a wing player. I'm guessing okafor.

Simmons ain't coming off the bench breh :dead:

Not saying the whole year just to get his feet wet. And there's a huge difference between this and Scott. All 4 guys was in the running for the top pick at one point. I'm pretty sure Dangelo wasn't going up against other high lottery picks.

The stoop with dat dope fanny padding
Everyone is talking about it online, but let's try to get this in a single thread to make sense of this nonsense. I already called Ja Rule, but he didn't answer.

You got Ben Simmons as everyone thought you would. Now what? Word is that they are going to trade away Noel or Okafor. Do you keep both? Who do you move? Embiid is likely going to play this season...I would assume Noel comes off the bench. A defensive big coming in off the bench to spark...the defense? :wtf:

Something has to change. Do you wait it out to see what happens with Embiid?

Problem is that none of those 3 are stretch guys which Simmons is going to need. I am a little shocked that the Celtics did not bite on the Okafor trade with that 3rd pick as I think in the right system he should be a better pro than Jaylen Brown.

The 76ers are not my team, but I am interested in seeing how this all plays out :jbhmm:

Jaylen brown is much more valuable in today's NBA than okafor would be

We can't act like embiid is going to play 30 minutes a night this season, they'd be smart to bring him along slowly

You can keep Noel and make it work, but the best idea is probably to trade him cause they aren't gonna want to pay him the money it'll take to keep him considering he won't even be a starter for them

I probably trade Noel this year and keep okafor as the starter next to Simmons and have embiid brought along slowly...

Embiid probably doesn't play 60 games this season even if he's fully healthy cause they will need to rest him to keep his foot healthy so keep okafor and hope with a better balanced team that is actually trying to be somewhat competitive, he can increase his value for a trade next offseason

I still don't understand how Okafor got so undervalued on here. Dude put up better rookie numbers than DeMarcus Cousins. They gotta trade Noel before him. Okafor can be solid defensively and we know he's gonna get buckets. Embiid has the most talent, but they gotta see him on the fukking floor before they trade BOTH of Noel and Okafor.

You're an idiot.

You bring embiid off the bench, he probably doesn't play in back to backs and even if healthy, he probably plays in 60 games this season and that's a best case scenario.

I'd be shocked if he averages over 25 minutes per game

So some didn't think Ingram should be the top pick:dahell: And Noel and embiid were gonna be the CONSENSUS NUMBER ONE PICK before they got hurt. That's the good thing about these four guys. Competition should make them stronger. But if you want to baby Simmons instead of making him prove it that's on you:sas2: It's not a situation where they drafted a guy to a position that they were depleted at:comeon:

they should keep okafor in case embiid doesn't work out for whatever reason, trade noel and sign a veteran PG that can shoot like DWill, Lin, Norris Cole or even brandon jennings.

and no way embiid starts. they're gonna slow work him in. the 6ers still have saric coming over too so noel is gonna be the odd man out of this group.

i see a lot of ppl saying okafor hit his ceiling or is close to it already. plus ppl don't think he fits in the new 3 point shooting nba.

Noel will go just because it's time to pay him. He should be off the team already, but Thibs is clearly a novice at this executive shyt.
