they should keep okafor in case embiid doesn't work out for whatever reason, trade noel and sign a veteran PG that can shoot like DWill, Lin, Norris Cole or even brandon jennings.

and no way embiid starts. they're gonna slow work him in. the 6ers still have saric coming over too so noel is gonna be the odd man out of this group.



i see a lot of ppl saying okafor hit his ceiling or is close to it already. plus ppl don't think he fits in the new 3 point shooting nba.

How do people think a 20 year old has hit his ceiling? We saw the success Adams and Thompson had against GS and neither has an offensive game like Okafor.

We can't act like embiid is going to play 30 minutes a night this season, they'd be smart to bring him along slowly

You can keep Noel and make it work, but the best idea is probably to trade him cause they aren't gonna want to pay him the money it'll take to keep him considering he won't even be a starter for them

I probably trade Noel this year and keep okafor as the starter next to Simmons and have embiid brought along slowly...

Embiid probably doesn't play 60 games this season even if he's fully healthy cause they will need to rest him to keep his foot healthy so keep okafor and hope with a better balanced team that is actually trying to be somewhat competitive, he can increase his value for a trade next offseason

defensively he has slow lateral movement, not much vertical/length to be a shot blocker or rim protector and offensively ppl think he'll be al jefferson, which is pretty good imo.

the thing with adams and thompson is they're elite defensive players that can guard the paint and switch on PnRs on the perimeter who aren't asked to score, but can occasionally get put backs and grab offensive boards. if okafor isn't scoring then he becomes more of a liability on the court.

i think he'll be a good player with a few all-star appearances so would take a chance on him if i was looking for a big.

You bring embiid off the bench, he probably doesn't play in back to backs and even if healthy, he probably plays in 60 games this season and that's a best case scenario.

If he plays 60 games this year, he could end up being a starter in a lot of those games. He's going to have to to test that foot. At some point they have to ramp up his work load to see if he's what you think he is.. But, if it makes you feel better & keeps you for losing your bytchass cool, put Nerlens in the starting lineup.

I am of the same belief, he's no KAT but you can't teach height. I know the NBA is copycat league and wants the follow the Warriors template, but with the right system Okafor can be taught decent defense and be a perennial allstar. Okafor needs be on small market winning culture team i.e. Spurs, Pacers, Blazers, etc...
