How do people think a 20 year old has hit his ceiling? We saw the success Adams and Thompson had against GS and neither has an offensive game like Okafor.

:comeon: Okafor and Thompson/Adams are complete polar opposites as players. Okafor will never be able to defend in space or be a legit rim protector.

Exactly no way should embiidguy thinking:mindblown:
@KevJ I don't think I said start the season with Embiid being a starter. But, eventually Embiid is your starting C. If Y'all don't get that than who's truly the idiot here!? Ben Simmons can literally play ANY position on the court, so the whole drafted him to a bigs heavy team argument is pointless. Dude is not in the same mold as any other 6'10 plus player on this team.

Chill the fukk out, understand that we're just talking about sports here, and ease up with the slick talk shyt on the internet.

would you trade Deangelo for Jah and the full rights to your 1st rd pick back this season?

Yes. Of course, if LA signs Whiteside, then it wouldn't be necessary. :manny:

Some of y'all cats have it twisted. I love Jah's game! But, between free agency & the draft, you can come across a big that can get you points. You don't, however, find a lot of bigs that can potentially post, stretch the floor, protect the rim or switch of on guards and stay in front of them. Jah is NICE! But, the theme of this team seems to be VERSATILITY! Which is why I can see him being traded. NOT saying I want him traded.

I dont understand the okafur hate. Dude has a polished post game. I saw him bust towns ass last season in the paint. Defense can be instilled in a player. Its all about positioning and effort. Plus what rookie could flourish in that Losing environment. I reserve my judgement on him. I really wish Boston would've took him

Agreed

The disrespect is :wow:

Can't believe the Celtics chose jaylen brown over okafor

The stoop with dat dope fanny padding
Okafor is obviously a good player and I am of the belief he will be very good, but keeping him and embiid makes no sense long term. They can't play together, so eventually they'll have to figure that out.

You also can't just assume embiid is in the clear from his foot issues and will be a healthy contributor and play 65+ games the rest of his career now. It's just as likely the injuries pop up as soon as he starts playing and he doesn't even make it to the regular season

Trade Noel

Keep okafor, ease embiid in, 20-25 minutes a game and if you're feeling like embiid' injury issues are behind him, then trade okafor at the deadline or most likely next offseason

Al Jefferson was 20 once. And he still never became a legit rim protector. Can get you 20 points easy though! :yeshrug:
Al is a VERY GOOD PLAYER! He's just not VERSATILE!!!

The only person I'm probably over valuing on he Celtics is Marcus smart, because if he ever figures out a consistent offensive game, he's gonna be a problem. Just give me 35% from three, that's all I'm asking

Because one player defines how everybody else develops. :comeon:

Okafor is probably more athletic than Marc Gasol and Gasol anchored some great defenses in Memphis. You guys want to condemn Okafor for playing with that god-awful roster last season and think it's over for him. It's ridiculous.

Did you read my 1st post:what: If I said I want embiid off the bench this season to prove he's healthy and I think okafor is the odd man out who are the two I expect to finish the year as the starters:jbhmm:

Move Embiid and try to get a guard, or a pick for next year's draft (we dem process boyz)

Try to get Jamal Crawford and/or a PF/C veteran for a season or 2 to guide Ben Simmons & the youth.

Try to hire Jeff Van Gundy because he's that nikka
