starting lineup if nothing changes which i highly doubt

pg ish
sg h thompson
c embid
pf simmons
sf roco

oak & noel off the bench. they have to try either noel/oak with embid on the floor at the same time to see which combo can coexist, but i think noel has a chance... oak theres 0.

we already know noel and oak cant play together. hopefully embid stretches the floor a bit more to leave noel room to operate

:comeon: Okafor and Thompson/Adams are complete polar opposites as players. Okafor will never be able to defend in space or be a legit rim protector.

jah is horrible on defense.. not from effort, but he has lacks athleticism and lateral speed, he would get eaten up alive on the perimeter. his rim protection is also non existent. hes a slower david west if thats even possible

the offense grinds to a halt when they feed him the ball. it would only work if the team is built specifically around him, and the sixers can not do that. he'd be a good 2nd-3rd option, but he wont be content being that here

Eventually you have to trade them both.

Okafor is the most pressing to trade. He can't play with Simmons and he can't defend. He also hasn't shown an ability to pass out of the post, but that coukd just be because of the lack of shooters here. Keeping him would only diminish his trade value because he won't get enough minutes with Simmons, Embiid, Noel, and (hopefully) Saric playing here. If all 4 of those guys are healthy I don't know if Okafor even makes the rotation.

Noel has to be traded because he only has 1 year left on his rookie deal. We're not paying him and Embiid. At least because Noel is supposedly still a great rim protector we can still play him decent minutes this season alongside Simmons or Saric. But if we want any value for him he's gotta be outta here by the deadline.

Some of y'all cats have it twisted. I love Jah's game! But, between free agency & the draft, you can come across a big that can get you points. You don't, however, find a lot of bigs that can potentially post, stretch the floor, protect the rim or switch of on guards and stay in front of them. Jah is NICE! But, the theme of this team seems to be VERSATILITY! Which is why I can see him being traded. NOT saying I want him traded.
Tell em breh

People think bigs like Nerlens who have the ability to switch 1-5 and protect the rim at an elite level ain't shyt :wow:

Keep Ish for now, draft a PG for the future next year with LA or our pick

sign a low risk SG for now to plug in.

Trade Okafor for a shooting wing...

Ish/ McConnell
new SG/ Stauskas
Covington/ Luwawu
Simmons/ Grant/ Holmes
Noel/ Embiid/ Insurance Center in case

Ish is gone, that's a formality. He doesn't fit with Simmons at all. Can't shoot, can't defend.

I think everybody's over thinking this, too much talk about fit. If we want title we need multiple all Stars to win a chip and Jah could easily be an all star level talent. I like Simmons game but he don't always like to shoot a whole lot he's gonna need another player to take over for stretches and get buckets and that's jah. Same way LeBron need kyrie or Wade to take over sometimes. I like noel but he's not a gobert or Whiteside level rim defender grant actually can do a lot what noel can do and is a more natural 4

reading this thread I see why nikkas are arguing on a messageboard instead of actually running a team somewhere :snoop:

I'm not even going bother with that whole lineup shyt because none of us know how healthy or good embiid is right now, if saric is actually coming this year , or if Simmons will even play (offensively) in the front court

I'd keep everyone until the trade deadline starts approaching at the minimum . Too many young guys with question marks to hastily trade one of them, especially when you don't have to. Nerlen deal coming up is irrelevant, the team has money and the contract won't be crazy to the point he can't be moved under the new cap. Not to mention trading him after his rookie deal ensures you have more versatility as far as what you can get back. Speaking definitively on how a 20 yr old (okafor) will or won't develop based off of 1 year of ball on a trash team is so dumb it ain't even worth entertaining.

Why'd I know you'd respond with this reply, with no regard for chemistry whatsoever. :mjlol:

Because it's the common sense move to make :ohhh:

Noel is going to get 25 mil next summer, I don't think he's worth it.

He's not getting 25 mil breh, at most he's getting 15-18 mil. You just have to understand at some point that unless you're getting FA's, which you aren't, then you might need to eat that contract and trade the player who does not fit at all into your future plans, and that's Jah. Doesn't make sense to trade him for the sake of saving cap space when you aren't using your cap space for anything worthwhile.

Now I will say that if Embiid comes out there and makes Noel expendable then you trade him AND Jah, but you don't just trade him only for the sake of saving cap space.
