So sad all around. Dealing with women in similar situations from similar backgrounds we used to always hear the same reasons when we asked about why they continue this type of behavior.
Some said they were lonely and thought having children would give them someone in their lives. Some said dudes told them they were going to get married. Some seriously couldn't fathom the dude they was dealing with abandoning them. Some felt it was just a natural progression of what they thought was a relationship.
A lot of this is very low self-esteem, growing up in areas with very few economic prospects, depression, and just this idea that if a dude is fukkin u he fukkin WITH u.
These women need counseling. Being poor, blk and struggling manifests itself in a lot of different ways. I hope she can find a way to see herself out of the situation for her children.
