Holly Kearl founded Stop Street Harassment first as a website and companion blog in 2008. Next she wrote the book Stop Street Harassment: Making Public Places Safe and Welcoming for Women (Praeger Publisher, 2010). Since then, she’s given more than 125 talks around the world about this issue and has received widespread media attention for her comprehensive work around ending street harassment. In spring 2011, she founded International Anti-Street Harassment Day, which, becameInternational Anti-Street Harassment Week in 2012. I fully support civilians coming to help other people in need, which is what black feminists have suggested. How can these women be supporting a legislation that they aren't fighting for, which has been made clear

Bottom line, nikkas wouldnt do it if it didnt work. You may get offended when some dude yells "Damn, Ma that ass is fat, come let me holla at you", but dont get mad at the man, get mad at the woman in the past who went over, talked to the dude, and gave up her number. I dont think its fair how some men are downplaying what women have experienced with catcalling.
A lot of catcalling...Ive grown to ignore. The really nasty comments may get a " " from me. The men that do this only do it because its worked before, unfortunately. Some guys will follow, get physical, and make serious threats and I can see how in those cases the cops should be called. I have a stun gun so if they try me they're getting popped.

My issue is the fact that the black feminists that are supporting this whole youOkSis movement are completely ignoring systematic racism.

They are not as passionate to fight against systematic racism as they are criminalizing black men that simply talk to them on the street.

This is rooted in all sorts of systematic racism especially in a system that selectively targets and prosecutes black men on actions and crimes that the vast majority of non-black men don't even have to face complete with blistering double standards.

When does it get to be illegal to just be black, straight, and male? This is breaking down male female relationships and deconstructing them at a racial level...social darwinism at it's finest steered completely by so-called "social justice".

YouOksis while it's intent is rightfully put forward...is just going to be used as another agent of white supremacy against figurative "black boogeymen" and other minorities that make women "uncomfortable" enough to press charges against them.

I'm not gonna lie...men can be extreme f8ckig creeps and women should not have to tolerate or accept that shyt at all or any behavior from men that may come off as threatening or endangering..I don't know but I know how it is...believe me thee. But I already know as a black man considering my experiences with women with how they perceive me and this is going to f*k over alot of brothas period.

Some of you don't even realize that some women just see black men as "beneath them" figuratively and literally and get disgusted when we even try to look at them. Alright...I was thinking about the Central Park Five. I can see many cases like that coming from this. Someone was making an Emmitt Till reference with this...and I feel it applies to the youoksis agenda.
