1. PHYSICAL harassment is already illegal and covered by a litany of existing legislation
2. They are trying to push for criminalized VERBAL harassment...and this is bullshyt because:

• its subjective
• its arbitrary
• assumes suspect guilt
• not defined objectively
• criminalizes free speech
• does not address direct and immediate verbal threats already criminalized by existing laws

Its about what they are pushing for.

If they stopped at trying to tell women about their existing rights, i'd be all for it...but don't sit here and tell me you want to criminalize verbal harassment.

Post some signs up and make commercials...but don't tell me you're going to give dudes fines (which when unpaid result in jail time so don't give me this bullshyt) and jail time for verbal harassment which is really being rude in public.

What is the point of fighting them when black women have started a movement of their own? Jones is separating herself because from what I see she believes the situation should be handled differently. Why would she be upset that they gathered tweets of a story that she told publicly, she told her story, they just reposted it.
