I was in maybe 10th grade when I was smoking weed in my bedroom and blowing the smoke out the fan in the window like I normally did. My parents were in the living room below me with a fan in the window. So all the smoke I blew out came right back in to the living room

-copping the cassette singles because you didn't have enough bread for the full album

-before the parental advisory logo was printed onto album art it was just a sticker on the outside of the cover. when I was like 10-11 my mom would hook me up sometimes and buy me a full tape if there was no parental advisory on there, so i'd just peel off the sticker :youngsabo:

-another thing we used to do when i was a kid in the 90s bored after school or in the summer that this girl from queens taught us was we'd go door to door collecting bottles and say we were doing some fundraiser for school but it was really just #freebandz and we'd take the money to buy chinese food and snapples and baseball cards and shyt.

-random fukkary like waiting for a school bus that wasn't even yours, and when the driver opened the door, bomb him with snowballs and run away :jawalrus::russ:

-getting access to an apartment building on sundays where the newspaper circulars were just stacked by the mailboxes and not distributed individually - and stealing all of the McDonalds Monopoly pieces. We thought we'd retire off that. I think the most we got out of it was a few sodas and maybe a big mac

one thing about that time period was being outside all the damn time. no matter what rain or cold. i only think i was indoors from like 93-97 just when i was in class or to goto sleep. once the early days of the internet hit though unfortunately i was enthralled and that was a wrap

My youth in the 90s were glorious growing up in KTp

Kingston projects

I remember we stayed on 45th and the whole projects use to come to our apartment and play video games with me and my brother...firework wars on the 4th of July...me and brother sharing our gifts with our friends that were less fortunate. My mom refusing to let us even cross the street or walk home from school so all my home boys and girls coming over and playing football/basketball/baseball/kickball in the parking lot on the back of our apartment.
Seeing junkies get beat up over debts

Teenage years in the 2000s were demonic tho

Gate city projects

I remember running through Gate City, Kingston, & Avondale with my homies at all times of the night, getting harassed by cac police, snatching shyt, kicking doors...nikkas use to break in the cake factories right across the street from the projects (i never participated)...I remember being like 13/14 running around the projects 10 deep at 3 in the morning all the old heads shook lol seeing older dudes breaking in houses and carrying shyt they stole thru the hood.

The 90's. What a glorious time:wow:

:mjcry:

I remember being on the School Bus and a nikka had these speakers on his Walkman. He was blasting Mahagony by Eric B n Rakim.

I had been trying to catch the eye of this lil Christian chick but she had been politely curving me all year. Bish looked like a young Spinderella.:banderas:

Finally had her giggling on the bus. When the breh with the Walkman started Mahagony everybody on the bus including her started rapping the lyrics.

I jumped in too. Was really getting into and was rapping loud as fukk too. The part when RA says....fukked around and missed the show..

I caught a L:snoop: i had just got the cassette a week earlier. I thought he was saying...STUCK around and missed the show. :snoop:

Im feeling myself and say it loud as fukk
:snoop::snoop:

The whole bus looked at me on some:huhldup:
