You not looking at the bigger picture and im not gonna insult you man not even worth it breh but you foolin yourself if you dont rememeber why Microsoft made so many last second changes on that first day stances they were going against the gamer their consumer. And at the last second tried to fix it but it was to late if you think many companies going to follow that guy then I dont know what to tell you fact it like it or not their was a reason after he made that comment dude took dude his twitter that comment hurt hom more then help him.
You're trying to compare something that affects every single gamer to people making money off youtube videos on ips they dont own.

the internet feedback for micosoft was actually relevant. it lined up with every gamers feelings because it affected every single gamer. illegally making money onyoutube video playthroughs doesnt affect the majority of gamers. you think joe blow gamer gives a shyt if a youtuber is forced to share revenue. no he doesnt. but he does care if he cant sell his game after he beats it.

if you didnt know anything about gaming and read messageboards ,comments about ea,activision and cod youd think they were the most hated horrible things that if you flop constantly. but in reality they sell millions upon millions.

if you cant tell the difference then i dont knw what to say.

With his logic Ebert and Roger should have to pay every movie maker for reviewing their movies on their show. Dumb.

thats fine, i've watched full games on youtube just because i wanted to see what its about w/o playing the actual game. there's millions and millions of other people that watch lets plays for the same exact reason.

if devs dont want their games posted in its entirety, they should have their wishes respected.i know if i made a game with an interesting story like LoU or Mass Effect 2, the last thing i'd want is all the cutscenes posted up in full online.
Anyone that watches a full game is a retard or broke. Either way they wasn't buying the game.

People are still trying to go against this? I have yet to see a single excuse as to how it benefits gamers as a WHOLE to let people play through an ENTIRE damn game on YouTube. It ruins the experience for people and hurts single player story driven titles such as Max Payne 3, Mass Effect HEAVY.

30 minutes to possibly AN HOUR MAX is what I think is acceptable.

For the people supporting this be mindful as it can get much worse if developers start getting a cut of that YouTube revenue. There are channels where people do covers of songs, play guitar, keyboards, video game music, FAQs for products etc. Should those developers and manufacturers get a cut too?
:what:

THIS is your argument breh? You are a pretty smart individual, but how are you comparing the two? Someone covering a song in its entirety takes a lot more effort than it does me grabbing my controller, playing the game and going through it. It is nowhere near the same IMO.

Plus, you also have to consider that a song in the grand scheme of things is $1...and the experience is over in usually less than 5 minutes.

A full game however costs $60 apiece...AND sometimes costs HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS of dollars to create. Someone playing a story driven game such as Max Payne 3 in its entirety without talking much just gave away a "viewing" and actually PROFITING from it.

You the fukk watches a 10 hr game series on youtube then complains about it spoiling shyt? Gamers arent being hurt by this practice. In fact ME1 was the first game I watch on youtube. 3 videos in I copped, 3 years after the game was released. Now im a stan for life.

Some people must...otherwise people wouldn't be uploading full walkthroughs like that.

Plus you just proved my 30 minutes to 1 hour argument. That is all that it should take...MAX to invest in something that interests you. Plus it should only be the START of the game

Who the decides the appropriate cut off point to constitute a "preview"? Then you'd have to tackle the problem of regulating how people enjoy their purchased items, at home, in the Internet age.

There are people like me watch those videos to preview games, those who want to watch for a cinematic experience and those who treat the game as a walkthrough. An hour long preview may placate folks in the first group (it wont for me) but it'd only make those content providers in the other groups richer. Instead of watching it for free online, folks will either torrent it or pay a movie price.

I dont see watching gaming videos on youtube any different then watching a friend play on his ps4 at home or watching him do it through stream on my ps4. If werent going to go after the youtubers, go after the console/pc streamers and sleep partiers.

The companies and people involved who spent MILLIONS developing it for those who want to buy it.

As for your other paragraphs, I just don't agree. It is not the same as going to your friends house to watch it playing on the PS4...you are BROADCASTING to the world on YouTube. HUGE difference.
