How is this trash ? You running with Berman takes to judge ?!

The whole thing bro. Like come on your seen my diatribe about nepotism with the Thibs hiring and they did exactly what I was worried they would do.

Like this is how the Mob moves if you know what’s up.

I mean it was trash. :manny:

We made a bunch of one year signings on reclamation projects once again just a bunch of ex-lottery guys who didn’t pan out.

We brought back Payton and were unable to move Randle. Ntilikina should have also been moved. We were not able to lure any good free agents. Guys like Pinson and Payton are being signed off nepotism.

It was a trash offseason we just didn’t do anything to tie up our books or made desperation moves trading youth and picks. It’s really the only bright spot.

But the team is not really in a good position to benefit the youth with positional logjams and what should still be a weak team in guard play and spacing.

Even the Thibs hire the game has kind of passed dude by you can only stay optimistic at this point and hope he instills toughness and development. I think we have a chance to be a much better defensive team next year.

I think we had a good draft but a very weak offseason. I’d probably grade our draft with Toppin, Quickley, Powell as an A- and our free agency as a D+. On paper it’s ugly might be a 20 win squad.

Interesting comparison to Tyler Herro.

Dude wants R.J.-Quickley to work like Jimmy-Herro.

Quickley definitely has the shooting and off-ball game down as well as the floaters and is more physically gifted but it’s to be seen if he can create his shot and has the unwavering confidence of Herro. Quickley is faster and has a plus plus wingspan.

People criticized Herro’s lack of vertical pop which is also a Quickley weakness, his negative wingspan, and weak frame. He turned out to be a hooper tho.

If you're complaining about nepotism, just make your own thread :beli: There hasn't been a single terrible move this offseason

they may be the same caliber of shooter
but herro has a left hand that is worlds ahead of quickleys when it comes to his offensive versatility. all those floaters you see quickley do...is with one hand only.
herro generates his own shot using his left hand and finishes around the rim with it as well :hubie:
his offensive repertoire is deeper and more fluid.
quickley does have that confidence in his jumper though.
tyler came out after one year and went higher in a deeper draft....and this guy got an extra year and is deemed as a reach in a weak draft
I dont see the comparison honestly...he got a ways to go...and frankly I dont see thibs instilling that type of confidence in a younger that spo would
we'll see

Let me ask y'all ppl who feel this way....what could have the Knicks possibly have done to get an A this offseason? ....particularly if you have NO problem with the draft
