But this is all concerning. Part of the reason he fell in that draft. It was vital that the team helped him mature. I was just telling my boys that i wouldn’t be surprised at all if Nerlens starts.

I wouldn’t overanalyze Thibodeau’s answer, but it seems reasonable to at least conclude that the starting center spot is an open competition. The Knicks also signed Nerlens Noel to a one-year deal last month.

Hield’s got 80 million over the next 4 years, so it kinda goes against the theme of this offseason. But it’d get randle out and bring in a legitimate shooter. It’s also sorta notable that Hield’s on a declining contract which is what the knicks did for rivers’ contract. So far it’s more speculation than anything but it’s worth keeping an eye on.

I’m not stressing the stuff about Mitch yet. I didn’t take Thibs presser as anything beyond typical coach speak, saying Mitch’s ceiling is tied to how hard he works just felt like another one of those to me. Everything else has been speculative as hell.
