I took a look at some of Warner's stuff on Zach before I responded to be sure. Both sides are at fault but the Jets have had a QB development problem for a LONG time.
Tell me how both are at fault when we know Zack Wilson isn’t a drop back passer from jump But 99% of the play calls ask for him to do that. And what did you hear from Kurt Warner that shows that he likes or saw a concept that worked but Zack missed? I didn’t get that memo from Kurtz film study. He constantly talked about his problems with routes that didn’t give Zach clear options

He spends the first 5-10 minutes or so of this video discussing his mechanics and how Zach was a bit slow to diagnose defenses because he spent too much time on his first read, and how he's got to let things rip quicker. From like the 11-minute mark on, he starts getting into how fukked up some of the play designs and schemes are.

This video here echoes a lot of your sentiments as well. However, Kurt STRESSES the need for Zach to improve his technique/footwork and mechanics, among other things.

The overall takeaway I got from Kurt's videos is what I've been saying for a while, which is that Zach has a ways to go in terms of cleaning up his mechanics and making quick decisions, but the coaching/offensive scheme is not making any part of that process easier for him in live action. So a little of column A, a little of column B.

His mechanics are beyond raggedy. shyt is outright horrid. That can be fixed. I just dont have as much a problem With his decision making because this offense doesn’t have clarity for a young quarterback.

Zach Wilson is still GAHBAGE
We will truly see with another coordinator who I hope works on his mechanics. I don’t close the door on quarterbacks to where you corny dudes doing here when I know offensive coordinators who are inept can put a player in a Geno Smith type position. That is not the order of things for you and that’s OK. You and I don’t talk about football the same way and I don’t want to talk about football in your manner. I’m beyond that. The people I asked questions about football are putting young men up and down Division I teams are who I talk football theory with. Between two of my friends, they alone put 11 players on Division I teams with their graduating classes this year. I defer to them and bounce things off of them. They teach me the game and I humble myself to their knowledge. I don’t do pretend football talk.

You can talk about football your way in here, I will continue to look at the game and say that a bad coordinator leaves players in a “to be continued “position.

You just want to be first and right… I want just Competence around young players so I can truly see if they are worth keeping or moving on from

You come off as extremely smug when it comes to this shyt

You come off like its extremely frustrating for you to talk about these things with the posters who are "not on your level" yet you continue to do it. I guess you're waiting to go gotcha!! if this guy goes somewhere else and performs so you can go :ahh: in this thread in 2026 or some shyt

Its weird..

Bottom line?

I know this game. I know it..

I know this history of the game.

So whatever with your pompous "I don't discuss football like you snooty ass shyt :mjlol:

You don’t talk real football. You never talk about fundamentals, schemes, or even asking people who know more than you about what they see with the game. You’re not watching film. Stop it. I don’t care who the quarterback is. If you are a young quarterback and your offenses Coordinator is ass, I’m giving you an incomplete. I don’t care WHO the quarterback is. you want to be first and right. That is YOR problem. For the longest time I told you not to gauge a quarterback by incompetent coaching. Nothing about me in that space has changed. You want Zack Wilson to be ass because you just want to be right. Anybody who understands the game knows that if someone is not coaching someone up in a good scheme, you cannot judge that quarterback. Vinny Testaverde and so many other quarterbacks ended up having good seasons later in their careers was due to incompetence around them. So I I don’t wanna hear that shyt. Nothing about you says that you seek out football knowledge outside of putting players in categories. I love the fact that I’m still learning from this game. You swear up-and-down you are complete. Nothing I said has placed a complete mark on who Zack Wilson is. I just know incompetent coaching when I see it. You don’t talk real football. There was nothing gotcha about me. You cannot teach a quarterback with an incompetent OC. I have repeated that about numerous players. You on the other hand want to win debates and put a final stamp on players because you want to be first. Do you want to be right. I want to say we gave this kid every opportunity and this is who he is. If he stinks I’m gonna say he stinks. And if he’s good I’m going to say the Jets recruiting someone good around him. You really don’t talk football in the manner of somebody who’s truly studies the game or sees football fundamentals and flaws. You don’t have that type of discussion. Your feeling on me being smug or some other gauge you place on my personality is meaningless

No just garbage, advanced stats have him behind dudes like Leaf and Russell. He's possibly the biggest bust of all time
Let’s see what he does with a real offensive coordinator. His biggest issue are his mechanics being extremely shytty at times. That can be coached away like it was for him when he came back from injury in 2021.

I think they bring in Jimmy G to start next year
Hire a vet OC to "reset" Zach and he sits and learns for most of the year, Jimmy G gets hurt as usual and Zach starts and they go from there however it plays out

Bro Tua was being purposely sabotaged in Miami under Flores and looked light years better than Wilson. Some dudes just don't have it :heh:

San Fran aint letting Jimmy go until they know for sure that Lance is good. That was a bad injury for Lance. That's a pipe dream for the Jets to get him. If Jimmy does eventually let go he'll have suitors and Jets won't be top of the list imo. I think if Jimmy goes anywhere it's going to be Vegas FWIW. He'd already be familiar with the offense and have weapons everywhere.

???
They were trying to trade his ass all offseason and only brought him back cause there wasn't much interest and he restructured his contract to take a lot less money. He's a free agent they're not gonna pay him starting money
Also how the hell is he a pipe dream? He's a fukking mid ass QB. Mr. Irrelevant came in and the SF offense immediately looked better
