Where my house is being built and in surrounding areas, 4bdrm and plus are still selling over list price and way over what these sellers paid. They are still going within hours days or a week if the realtor is setting a deadline date. 2 houses came up for sale in the subdivision I’m building in and they both are 1k sqft smaller than my house and a few years old selling for only 5k less than my final price. I’m seeing houses sitting but they are in the lower income areas or flat out seller asking for too much.
Prices are dropping around me already
Exactly. Undesirable areas might see prices drop. Not the popular zip codes. Especially with inflation here and looming

People are quitting their jobs in record numbers, inflation is shooting through the roof and yet somehow people are buying homes like crazy. I'd love to know how.
You only live alone when everybody else is out the day from the group home you failure at life. Your an autistic, barely functioning retard. You don't even have a job. Tell you what...there must have been a wealth transfer we missed, cause these people are doing cash offers! Offers for financing are at the bottom of the pile in my area.

I been under contract for almost 6 months and I still be checking inventoryYeah it was a struggle to secure a 4/3 house in my area. I lost out on like 6 bids before I got lucky.
Nice houses were pending within hours to a day! And to secure a house you had to start at least 20k over asking price. On top of that you had to be coming with a cash offer. The houses I was shopping for were in the 400k range.
I spent all day for like 2 months refreshing Trulia and Zillow every hour to catch any new on the market houses. I lucked up and found a 5/3 house which the owners didn't list for the public but on a list supposedly only agents can see.

. The difference is I’m not depressed because the house I wanted to view is already under contract. But I ended up going with my original plan of a new build. No bids no bs. I did pay more than the people who bought before December of 2020 but people who bought after me are paying over 30k more for base price than I did. It might be more than that now the way the market for new builds is outside St. Louis. This is the truth. People in my area Raleigh/Durham area are frequently paying 25,50,75k over asking prices without batting an eye. The fools are even waving the house inspection just to get the winning bid. shyts absolutely ridiculous around here.Tell you what...there must have been a wealth transfer we missed, cause these people are doing cash offers! The community has been around for at least 3 or 4 years. I think I’m Like phase 3 or 4.You built from ground on your own land or are you apart of an up and coming housing community?

It just baffles me. Even with six figures, affording a 750,000 house is very tough, but somehow these houses are selling. I just don't see where all of these people are getting all of this money from.
