Before the max Shaq turned down his rookie extension
It wasn't technically a max rookie extension though as there wasn't restricted free agency from 95-98. That's how he was easily able to leave as a free agent.

I don't think zion is leaving.

Tbh this is corny. It’s been two seasons and he hasn’t even played a full seasons worth of games. Give NO another 2 years to get all the right pieces.
Also if this means that we are going to give Lonzo a big contract because BI and Zion like him then![]()

Giving Lonzo a big contract is the right move.![]()

I'm honestly starting to wonder is this a ploy by Zion's camp to get Griffin fired.
A big 3 core of Zo/Zion/Ingram![]()
or they can trade BICould be. I’m not denying griff hasn’t done the best job so far especially with the coaches. But even if Griff was making all the right moves NO wouldn’t have all the right pieces around Zion. It takes a few years to figure out the type of pieces they need around him in the first place. NO should have more time
Anything that gets Wiseman and Oubre off this team, im with@BlueHeffner i know you like that proposal![]()

Trae did this last year and look at him now.75 GAMES INTO HIS NBA CAREER
