I see the numbers but I'm not a believer. An inconsistent 37.8% on 3s through 50 games isn't enough. Plus his shot still looks f*cked up to me.

But we'll see :unimpressed:

I just hope the Knicks don't give him 20+ mil.

:what:38% is a good percentage, especially on 8 attempts.

It’s a good percentage, but I’d more concerned about his offense when the 3pt isn’t falling.

He’s the definition of a streaky, inconsistent scorer that we love love to label other players as. He could literally follow this game up with 7 pts as he did in the previous game against GS.

He has no other way to generate offense outside of 3 pt shooting. Dudes can spin it all they want, but it’s a valid criticism.

yea but you don’t neeed him as a number 1 option. On a great team he would be a number 3 who helps the offense move and plays elite defense.

That’s valuable :yeshrug:

On a great team, he wouldn't even be the lead guard on the team as long as he's streaky and inconsistent scorer outside of the 3 pt shot. You cannot be a lead guard without a consistent jump shot unless you have a wing that can help mask your deficiencies. The only problem is that other teams are looking for that exact same thing.

Also, I don't think that people realize that the Zion is up for a supermax rookie extension after next season. Is the Zo/Zion/Ingram the big 3 core you really want NO to lock up long term at $90+ million a year when they can't even make the play-in tournament?

New Orleans has a terrible Coach and is not a well built roster. I prefer lonzo on the Knicks or the sixers, teams with legitimate scoring options that lonzo can play that defense facilitator role with the ability to be the catch and shoot option. Now that might not be worth the max but lonzo s defense and passing are elite. He’s just a weird guard that can’t creat his own shot.

He's finally coming into his own. Just in time when he wants to leave New Orleans. He's gonna shine on another team if he leaves.
He was suppose to shine here with Zion.:mjlol:

This is who Lonzo is. Solid player, may get an All Star nod once or twice, damn sure isn't someone you wanna throw the bag at though.

Yo 20m for a player isn't that much in today's NBA market. A team like the knicks wouldn't even need him to initiate the half court offense when they have a guy like randle. He's just got to keep the team running on the break, D up, and knick down the jumpers he gets fed in the half court.

I think he's a natural basketball fit with randle and RJ Barrett

These dudes think every pg needs to be a combo guard.

And that's what is going to hold him back from ever being lead guard material as you can't have your lead PG being a liability on offense like that. You better be all worldy at everything else (he's not) or you better have a wing to mask his offensive deficiencies (they don't).

Lonzo's defense and passing are good, but not elite. Let's clear that misconception up. If he was elite at defense, then he would be in All-NBA
Defensive consideration, which he's not. People throw the term elite around too lightly these areas.
