Zo needs to shoot that middy when the 3 aint dropping and even if it is dropping stop camping at the 3 point line, not even steph camps out there all the time lol

And his defence has regressed ,specially his team defense, which can say its the whole team really:mjlol: u can argue that hart is a better 1 on 1 defender than zo, he's good but:stopitslime:

On a great team, he wouldn't even be the lead guard on the team as long as he's streaky and inconsistent scorer outside of the 3 pt shot. You cannot be a lead guard without a consistent jump shot unless you have a wing that can help mask your deficiencies. The only problem is that other teams are looking for that exact same thing.

Also, I don't think that people realize that the Zion is up for a supermax rookie extension after next season. Is the Zo/Zion/Ingram the big 3 core you really want NO to lock up long term at $90+ million a year when they can't even make the play-in tournament?

New Orleans has a terrible Coach and is not a well built roster. I prefer lonzo on the Knicks or the sixers, teams with legitimate scoring options that lonzo can play that defense facilitator role with the ability to be the catch and shoot option. Now that might not be worth the max but lonzo s defense and passing are elite. He’s just a weird guard that can’t creat his own shot
And that's what is going to hold him back from ever being lead guard material as you can't have your lead PG being a liability on offense like that. You better be all worldy at everything else (he's not) or you better have a wing to mask his offensive deficiencies (they don't).

Lonzo's defense and passing are good, but not elite. Let's clear that misconception up. If he was elite at defense, then he would be in All-NBA
Defensive consideration, which he's not. People throw the term elite around too lightly these areas.

I still think he’s worth 20 mill in this climate, he offers great positional size, passing and even if he’s regressed he’s a + defender. Catch and shoot option and he can develop a drive game off pump fakes and make plays.

his greatest weak is being unable to ISO but maybe he develops a post game over smaller guards? :yeshrug:

Edit: it reposted the first quote for some reason :snoop:

I'd give him the $20 million, but I'd be rather iffy on going even higher than that. It's exactly the situation that ATL will find themselves in with Collins. You want to keep him, but you aren't trying to break the bank for their services.

If the price is too high, then you consider the sign and trade.

If I’m the Pelicans, I offer 4 years, 70-80 million. Another team, 3 years, 55-60 million. You gotta watch your expectations and know what you’re getting with him. A starter and a great team player. Probably not an all star. As far as his free agency, I hope he stays with NO, or bounces to Chicago or New York.

He was suppose to shine here with Zion.:mjlol:

This is who Lonzo is. Solid player, may get an All Star nod once or twice, damn sure isn't someone you wanna throw the bag at though.
Dude is one-dimensional as fukk. His good games only exist when his 3 point ball is falling. Apart from that he has zero bag. Good 3 point shooter, Good passer, solid defender/rebounder. But he's genuinely a terrible scorer & playmaker.

Anyone team throws the bag at this dude deserves mediocrity.
