Dude is right to reign in billionaires.

They can’t even spend all that. After a certain amount of money (let’s say 2B), the excess should flow back into society. You can come up with a prestigious name for it in which the ultra rich take pride in the surplus they contribute.
The issue arises in that a lot of net worth isn’t simply cash, but assets in stock, property, funds etc. I don’t see how that could be redirected to the general population.

They could be taxed. Like the answer is tax them some of their wealth. Stop being a parasite on society and then acting like it’s a crime if society says pay your fair share.

Like as a society we have certain tropes, and almost every trope we have about how the poor and the working poor are strains on society…. It’s really the extremely wealthy who are the ones making it harder for us.

Right now congress is about to add 3.3 trillion dollars of debt while gutting health care for the poor and affordable college loans for everybody with the support of billionaires who want to pay less taxes….. and people are getting offended Mamdani had the nerve to even say Billionaires shouldn’t exist.

People are sick in the head because they been indoctrinated to relate to the extremely wealthy and hate the people who are just like them but doing worse. It’s pathetic. Yes, and it has worked like this before. Back in the 50’s, 60’s, and 70’s, when the system was designed to benefit white working class people the taxes on the wealthy was used to create a middle class. Once black people (and in time brown people) were able to benefit from these programs because the government couldn’t be overtly racist. These taxes and programs were cut. Overtime this has meant there was always a smaller black middle class but the white middle class got gutted too. Cacs have always been good with it because of their hatred of us they are willing to suffer happily.

What we’re seeing in DC now is a push to make black and white people into serfs and indentured servants and once again the majority of white people (and dumb minorities) are ok with it because they think Trump is hurting immigrants and black people.

The reason Mamdani is very existence is angering politicians on both sides is he is going against a 40 year trend of the wealthy being engorged by society and everyone accepting it because they assume black people (and now immigrants) will be starved the most.
