Most people who go to specialized high schools either went to private schools or otherwise better schools whether they be public or religious affiliated schools, had educated parents, had tutors, or had parents who were militant and knowledgeable about getting their kids elite education from early on. Black and Latino enrollment began dropping after the early 2000’s the SHSAT is not aligned to middle public school curriculums. Asians dominate because they had the above. If you did it without any of this congrats you’re a brainiac outlier but don’t pretend like it’s an equitable process.
