How is NYC flabby and sick? Many of these street wear brands are from NY, I'm talking Supreme, Vamp Life, Crooks & Castle, Slow Bucks, Ten Deep. Dipset was on the True Religion wave before everyone.

Like SpacelyRockets said search up Dapper Dan's nikka was making custom made Louis Vuitton, Gucci, etc. for hustlers and rappers in the 80s

Look at Alpo rocking a Louis Vuitton bubble coat

Lewis Black Comes In here and gives yall the real!

1. Camo in hip hop is a ny thing. Im hearing dudes talk about vets and Vietnam blah blah lets not act stupid, its a ny thing.

2. Snapbacks, tats, bandanas are a west coast hip hop thing. Sure west coast rappers were not the first to wear em but they where the first to bring it to hip hop.

3. The south have grills and white T's

All in all, fashion is relative. A dude in ny is not gonna dress like a dude in LA.

:mjpls:Well I didnt see nikkas rocking them till early 2010 when Tyga was rocking them in videos with Bhris Brown, and they was keeping the tags on them looking like idiots

nah.

2010 is pretty late in my book.

i even recall other rappers rockin snapbacks before 2010.

since when did the west coast start snapbacks?

there was a whole thread on white t's on the old site. i dont think any particular region or city can lay claim to them. i can say this much tho. from a pure rap standpoint, the hot boys would be synonymous with it.

i recall the east coast rockin grills before the south if you want to be real.

Do you know where True Religion's come from? i'll give you a hint... it's not New York.
you really think that a LA based brand, was being worn by new york rappers before people in LA wore it?

most of all the streetwear fashion, is influenced by LA... not NYC.

Crooks and Castles, is LA based. not NYC.....Crooks, Diamond Supply, The Hundreds,Huf,Undefeated... are all major players in the streetwear world to.

but did you really try to sneak in Vamp Life tho breh? Jim Jones fukking clothing line:heh:

As a person who is involved in streetweart culture i'll let you know L.A is a big player in streetwear but NY on top, the trends for the most part come from ny and at the end of the day New york has Supreme which is the father to all those brands you just listed. And the Tru Religion thing is a ny thing i remember when dipset made it popular in 07 , just cause some white people wore it does not matter. I made this thread about hip hop fashion. dikkies was started in Texas for workers does that it mean that dikkies in hip hop is not a cali influence? New York is the leader when it comes to street fashion, stop being unfair your like fox news you bend the facts to favor your argument, instead of you using reason and logic.

Supreme is the biggest and most popular street wear brand and it's from NY, I reached on Crooks & Castle I'll take that L, I assumed it was NY because a lot of people been rocking it out here lately :patrice:

Either way anyone that's heavy on that street wear shyt will tell you, NYC is the leader in street wear.

nikkas be rocking that Vamp Life shyt :manny:

Dipset was rocking Trues in 07 before everyone else, they was ahead of the curve as far as hip hop is concerned. Which LA rapper was rocking Trues in 07?
Prob fake as fukk..

Dan ordered the fabrics straight from the supplier where Louis and Gucci were getting their fabrics, and his shyt was not cheap.

You think Alpo couldn't have copped shyt from the official Gucci spot? He was a kingpin he preferred Dan because of his superior designs.

Tru Religions were popular in LA, before Dipset ever got ahold of them... how do you think they found out about them?

Dipset may have put people outside of California up on it.. but they didn't make it hot.

don't sit up here and act like Dipset didn't dikkride LA extra hard breh.

people in LA were on the the Von Dutch/Ed Hardy/True Religion wave when they hit, cause that's what was hot in the city at the time.
