who said anything about the '80s? when do i speak on the '80s? stop putting words in my mouth. '

Cmon Wacky, You are going to pretend you don't talk about Cold Crush Bros and shyt from the 80s?

im in the south regularly. its my 2nd home in the most literal of terms possible. dont try to speak on my life. you dont know me like that.

Then why do you have posters from the South telling you are wrong over and over?

and stop being a homer. how can you possible take a thread like this to heart and start throwing insults? grow up.

No one is taking anything to heart and who is throwing out insults? Cuz I cracked a joke about you speaking on the 80s? LOL

lol. yea, initially jerseys were an in-the-know thing. but when the jersey craze became a big trend, most people rockin that chit didnt know a foul shot from a 3-pointer. dont kid yourself buddy. theres a reason why it faded into obscurity the way it did. you had chicks rockin jersey dresses, people matching the wrong teams together because the colors were similar(rappers included since youre so caught up in them), etc etc etc. it became a joke.

I know why it faded. That isn't the point. The point is people rock what they see highly visible people rock. If they like a football player they might rock his jersey. If they see a certain rapper they like rocking a shirt, they might buy it.

I've seen a handful of people with the 'Dope' shirt done in Phillies font that Meek Mill rocked before. None of which I believe were actually from Philly or even liked the Phillies but clearly watch Meek Mill.

i talk about the '80s in what manner? certainly not a argumentive one. i just talk about chit i like and keep it moving. am i not allowed to do that? meanwhile, half of this board consists of teenagers trying to dictate what was going down in the '90s and nobody ever calls them out for chit. but i get called out for making an appreciation thread or simply giving props to an '80s group? f*ck outta here. some of yall just be on my top. and some of yall just like to repeat dumb chit that other people say on here because it sounds nice. which category do you fall under? and dont try to dodge that question jack. im gonna keep uppin this chit til you answer.

what south posters are telling me that im wrong? @Poitier just slightly fell back. and thats my young bul regardless. you dont instigate our back-n-forths jim. and our disagreement wasnt even really about the south at the end of it all, if you follow the transcript.

well maybe it wasnt an insult. butr it came off like one. i'll fallback on that part.

im just saying that the jersey craze wasnt GENERALLY built upon people liking a player. unless it was an iverson jersey or somebody that everybody knew.

obviously its new york, but how is philly not an option? philly started mad chit. some of it stolen by new york.

L.A. the only other respectable option on this list. and even then, they havnt influenced anything in nearly 20 years.

these other options aint never start any type of fashion trends. atlanta, houston and the south in general get all their fashion mad late. only south city that had any type of fashion influence was new orleans for a few years.

the bay? lol.

canada? oh hell no.

who the hell made this poll?

This is funny on many levels but mostly cuz we talking about Hip-Hop, which is a culture made from doing more with less, making beats from samples, creating "gumbo". Sure if you talk about brands, yes, NY/LA get stuff a lot sooner than folks down south, but that don't mean folks down south ain't fashionable. You can't have a convo about setting trends and use rocking brand names before another region as your argument. Yeah I know what you've seen on TV is a bunch of bamas rocking Versace shirts 5 years late or whatever but trends are definitely set down south and there's a whole lot more creativity that goes into it because of the perceived lack of access. Lack of access is what spawns the creative process, smh.

I came in ready to be humble and gracious and say "we all contribute friends:pachaha:"...but then I see op tried to pul the switcheroo on us talkin bout "which city birthed the most swag:troll:"......When I think of swag I think of who got the most legendary lingo? Who got the most mouthpiece historically?Which nikkas is most likely to hypnotize ya bytch with what appears to be a simple bounce yet she cant look away:obama:...Who made nikkas wanna wear they church shirt just so they could have a collar to pop not knowing a actual collar isn't necessary...Who made donuts in the parking lot,and car shows a hiphop staple....Which nikkas laced a fatherless generation with enough game to promote manhood for generations to come:ohlawd:....Who bought the art of the pimp and disrespecting bytches into hiphop and made it almost like a sport to see who could disrespect bytches the most?and who will win by a landslide everytime:childplease:? Who was first to break down the dope game so vividly and in such great detail it needed its own genre that went on to be called "trap rap"?Who revolutionized the 808 and heavy basslines to the point nikkas started making "music that sound good in the car" one of the first prioritys when it came to creating?...Which nikkas set the standard when it come to saying "real shyt"?.....The independent game?revolutionized it.....the first to applaud not only our gangsta but also our business acumen labeling ourselves as tyc00ns and bosses:win:...lemme stop even though I can keep going.:whew:.

I don't know about the fashion,i don't even wanna talk about no damn fashion, how dare you talk to me about some damn fashion all things considered:obama:...When you from a place where you can simply tell people "im fron the bay area:myman:" and nikkas and bytches instantly believe in u and think "he a real nikka then:whoo:"....whether you wearin Versace, or a tshirt you bought at the gas station you blessed.

Shout out to all the Cali nikkas on thecoli we all got it:obama:,shout out to those who grew up on bay area hiphop or ever visited you got a little bit of it too:salute:

and like i told you before, chicago the only city that got LA nikkas to rep our shyt

:snoop: nikkas from other sides of Oakland don't even hustle in other sides in Oakland..let alone let another city in the bay come thru and set up shop..LA nikkas tried once and got ran out..so how the fukk would some suckas from NY come into the town and set up shop.. The first hand to hand transaction that we see would have them nikkas ran out of there or have them nikkas in body bags..

im talking young buls in the streets. not just your buddies who share common interests as you.

theres certain segments of people that are into all that chit, and certain segments that dont know anything about that. and thats people my age, your age, up-top, down bottom, etc. expand your horizons.

you didnt even state your age. how convenient.

Breh, Chief Keef and all them GBE hoodlums live on instagram.

you're really showing your age breh... cause you really tried to go the " in these streets" route like dudes in the streets don't have phones.
