I think at this point in the game, every city has had their shine come and go. It's about to be a free for all.

:stopitslime:

i didnt say oakland specifically, but since u mentioned it,pretty black was from here(chi) and came up out there..and yea he got killed, but it wasnt becuz he was from out of town

If u a real nikka and link up wit the right nikkas,u can come up in anybody hood, regardless of where u from

This is funny on many levels but mostly cuz we talking about Hip-Hop, which is a culture made from doing more with less, making beats from samples, creating "gumbo". Sure if you talk about brands, yes, NY/LA get stuff a lot sooner than folks down south, but that don't mean folks down south ain't fashionable. You can't have a convo about setting trends and use rocking brand names before another region as your argument. Yeah I know what you've seen on TV is a bunch of bamas rocking Versace shirts 5 years late or whatever but trends are definitely set down south and there's a whole lot more creativity that goes into it because of the perceived lack of access. Lack of access is what spawns the creative process, smh.

you typed all of this and didnt even bother to attempt to show an example.:laff:

and all you typed were a bunch of generic responses that dont even apply to me.

Breh, Chief Keef and all them GBE hoodlums live on instagram.
you're really showing your age breh... cause you really tried to go the " in these streets" route like dudes in the streets don't have phones.

i didnt realize that i typed the word "most".

i meant to say "alot".

and i forgot that instagram is that picture chit. i was thinking about something else. i figured it would be a top 10 website by now. you saying its not even top 40?

its black-owned, and the jeans are fresh, comfortable and have that classic nicca fit & feel to it.

you dam right, i keep at least a pair or two in the stash jim.

A lot of new york dudes came down south for school or to sell drugs seens things southen dudes did and took it to new york and claimed it as new york shyt. New York steals other places trends and claims it as their own.

you cant just claim this stuff without posting examples.

i posted examples of stuff that new york swiped from philly, and new yorkers in-the-know will even agree. some have admitted it in this thread.

Not sure why people think that NYC Hip Hop fashion is flabby, that shyt still has the most influence today, the top street wear brands that nikkas wear these days are all based out of NYC.. Supreme, 10 Deep, Slowbucks, 40oz NYC, etc etc.. and even before the street wear wave the most influential rappers fashion wise were from New York, Dipset had everybody wearing pink, Dipset had everybody dressing like a rockstar, Dipset had everybody throwing away their baggy jeans, Dipset had nikkas wearing True Religion Jeans, they made Ferragamo belts hot and now ASAP has that same influence:umad: nikkas wasnt wearing Versace as much as they used to until French Montana blew up and was the first nikka to OD with the versace knockoff clothing and now everybodys doing it and where is he from?:ohhh:...:umad:

nikkas dont ever look at southern artists and wanna dress like them, when you wear some wack shyt you usually get clowned and people say "youre dressed like a bama".. and u Cali nikkas still wear baggy dikkies with chuck taylors and a jerry curl:camby: only influence u had was skin tight jeans and vans and the only people that wear that are wannabe skaters, cacs, and fakkits:umad:.. oh and Tyga brought back snapbacks:goatlaff::mamba:

Oh and yall nikkas who wear gucci, loui, etc.. u might wanna google Dapper Dan:pacspit:

Did some nikka just say the South started Polo down? NYC started Polo down, the Lo Life's is the most popular crew big time boosters in the late 80s through the 90s. Snow Beaches, color blocks, Indian heads, Chaps, Polo, Sportsman, 1967 shirts, Teddy Bear tees, rugby's, RL Jeans, Polo snap backs, big horse, bubbles, goose downs Hawaiian shirts nikkas took everything. :damn:

NYC didn't just start Polo down, but Tommy Hilfiger was popularized and mostly rocked by NY rappers like Raekwon (he even modeled for them), Ghost, Grand Puba, etc. Biggie was big on Pelle Pelle jackets and Coogi.

Y'all realize Ralph Lauren is from the Bronx and Tommy Hilfiger is also a New Yorker, yet the South started it :mjpls:

Timberland boots are a NYC thing, yeah nikkas rocked hiking boots everywhere but NYC is known for being on Timb boots, I even saw a advertisement by Timberland that called Timbs a "NYC classic since 1973".

snapbacks were already back in before tyga blew up.

at the most, he may have been the 1st rapper to flaunt it on tv, and im not even sure about that.
:mjpls:Well I didnt see nikkas rocking them till early 2010 when Tyga was rocking them in videos with Bhris Brown, and they was keeping the tags on them looking like idiots
