I heard that Ross wants to get rid of Sherman but Philbin has a clause in his contract that he has final say on personnel changes :snoop:

ofc sherman is his boy... dont understand why Philbin doesnt call the plays, wasnt he the OC and play caller at GB?
They were saying on the radio the other day that even though he was the OC in Green Bay, he didn't even call the plays, McCarthy did it. So I don't really know what he did then. Just organize everything?

Can someone explain this to me? Why were we so bad against the run? I refuse to believe the line backing corp last year was that much better than this years. As great as our D-line is... i dont get it.
Dansby was not that great IMO

It's not just Dansby. It's Dansby & Burnett. They were one of the better run blocking LB tandems in the league. Ellerbe and Wheeler were signed to be pass rushers. So if a runner gets past Soliai and Starks, no one will stop him at the 2nd level.

Ross shouldnt befiring members of coaching staff. THe head coach should. Withthat said if Ross feels that some members of said coaching staff arent accountable and Philbin is tolerating them for whatever reason then Ross may need to fire Philbin and the whole coaching stafff]

Sherman got fired and Ireland still has a job :snoop:

Ross aint doing shyt brehs. He just asked Philpin to pick a significant head to take the fall and all arrows pointed to SHerman. I swear Ireland has the local haitian voodoo priests on the payroll to keep his job

Seems like Ross gave Philbin an ultimatum.

Either Sherman is gone or everyone is gone.

we did it :blessed:
Ireland still employed, breh :comeon:

Honestly, I dont feel like we did anything at all. All we did was appease some fans. WHoever we bring in as OC knows the coaching staff and the GM is on a short leash.
No premier OC talent is gonna want a job with that kinda a pressure knowing that if we fail next year the entire system is getting flushed.

I can't believe Ireland is gonna stay. I'm certain him and Philbin relationship is now broken. Ross has to see that. How can that fukker escape another change :mindblown: that dude is fukking evil I'm sure Goodell looking in the cut like "that might be the heir to my throne right there"

Ehh...the issue with Ireland is that if he goes, the entire coaching staff will go, and I think Philbin ought to have one more year before we start looking at the door.

If the offense still sucks balls with an offensive coordinator that doesn't dictate crappy plays to his former pupil, then yeah, tear it all down.

we need a fukking OC that can mentor Tannehill and has actual QB coaching skills, not Mike Sherman's fukking son in law.

twitter is talking about Ben McAdoo, QB coach of the Packers, who has obviously ties to Philbin... I don't know about that one

YEah and despite the fact that I like Philbin I was willing to sacrifice him if thats what it took to get Ireland out of there. New GMs want their own coach, period and i'm fine with that. Philbin is cool and deserves a 3rd year but I hope he gets more say in personnel.

Overall, i think Ross is just delaying the move for another year. Like i said before he likes to make splashes and it seems like he cant get the people he truly wants so rather than make a major change just to make a change he'd rather stand pat until he can get the people he really wants

There is one way to avoid this -- fire Ireland and make Philbin himself the GM like in New England. But I don't know if that's realistically on the table.
