It's damn near 2016 and we're still putting people in jail for child support but big corporations who rob us blind daily never see a day of jail. We have a fukked up system. Hopefully people see the light and vote Bernie in 2016.

Nah, I had a cousin who was abusive, and when his baby's mother tried to press for child support, he ran.
He hid out in a small town in the South until the stat egot him and forced him to pay. You clearly don't know just how shytty some of these guys are, I'm sure there is more than one dude on this site who's running instead of paying child support

same shyt happened to my father in law. wasnt for child support but he was in jail because of my mother in law. didnt get his meds and he died in there too. were hispanic so it aint just black, were all on the same side.

This is such a destructive attitude to have tho. U r completely assigning blame to the wrong party. Instead of holding law enforcement and the criminal justice system accountable u blame the person who called the law. Did u blame the person who called the police on Eric garner for allegedly selling loose cigarettes for his death, or did u blame the cop who choked him to death? If someone had called the cops on Mike Brown for walking in the street would u blame Darren Wilson or the person who reported it ? Don't minimize the responsibility of the c.o. and whoever else was involved. The baby mom didn't deny this man his insulin, the jail staff did. That is what killed him. Demand more of the cops. Demand more of the judge. Don't let them off the hook and then say his bm is responsible for his death

He was arrested for back child support. Meaning at the time of his arrest he WAS in fact giving the mother money to help support the child.

black men earn less so it hits them harder. they can't keep their head above water so they don't pay. they resent the mothers for even putting it on them in first place instead of working out a deal. child support is the reason more black men aren't around. they work Jobs where they get paid under the table to avoid garnishments.

obviously the back support racks up and a warrant is issued. so now they get to throw them in jail. he's screwed and so is his seed. he will grow up without a father around and the cycle continues.

so many black men are avoiding having children altogether so they don't get into this situation, but this keeps the black population low, which makes it easier for whites to take advantage of.

None of his three baby mommas called the police on him and had him arrested and none of them put a warrant out on him because he didn't pay child support.

That's not how it works. That's not how any of this works.

If any of them ever got state-sponsored assistance, he would have been put on CS by the courts automatically. The court actually puts out warrants when CS hasn't been paid for a certain amount of time. Even if the baby momma says she doesn't want/need CS and doesn't want him to go to jail, they'll lock his ass up anyway bc as far as the state sees it, he owes them money for the assistance they provided to his children.

Even his family's statement even said none of his babies mothers did anything to put him in jail.
