I was replying to the quote saying we are killing ourselves, and I'm telling you, I heard the same thing in the early 90's. Even I fell for it, until I seen it was an exaggeration for at least half of us. If you actually read the statistics, its getting better for us, not worse. It is getting worse for some, I agree, but they don't represent all. I seen with my own eyes how we grew, that is why I don't put my energy into the negative shyt anymore. You will be steady complaining, and seeing the negative, while the good in life will be oblivious to you, and life will be dreary. I'm not going through that shyt again. I truly believe that is exactly what our enemies want because a negative person will never make power moves, they are always trying to escape their negative feelings in some type of way. You can't build if you are fighting. This can be mentally, not only physically.

If you see it in your family, separate yourself or you would be just like them, and become a negative person.
I gotta agree with this. Things are getting better. At least statistically. I recently had a chance to catch up with some friends from grade school who FOR SURE I knew were going to be fuk ups, turns out they got their shyt together. Got me to thinking. Are there a lot of poor people? Sure are, are those poor people all criminals? Hell no. Poverty <> criminal.... Are there negatives in life? Yup, but that doesn't mean you have to settle for that and honestly I don't believe most people do. Sure there are a lot of people who get sucked back into the way their life was going but I want to say more people make it than don't....at least I hope.

I'm not saying it's Mexico but it's really violent looking at stats, bray

:manny:
What?

Last year there were 211 homicides, the population is over 640,000. That is not a violent place to me. It just means work needs to be done to bring the numbers down. This is why watching the news, and believing the half truths they tell will have you thinking just like they want you to. They live off of negativity.

Have you wondered why they never say the actual numbers when talking about killings, and shootings, only percentages? Its because saying 66% higher is more scary then saying 20 more people. It's a mind game, and we keep falling for it, not me though.

Thirty-three people have been killed so far in May, the first time the city has had 30 homicides in a month since June 2007. No month in the last 15 years has had more than 33 killings.

The recent shootings prompted a march for peace from West Baltimore to City Hall Saturday. Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake met with Police Commissioner Anthony W. Batts and his command staff for two hours Sunday to discuss "adjustments" the department is making, said Howard Libit, a spokesman for the mayor. The Police Department did not respond to a request for comment Sunday night.

One man was shot in the head, and the other in the arm, in the double shooting just before 4 p.m. in the 2300 block of E. Preston St. in Broadway East, police said. The men were not identified, and neither man's condition was released.

Petting his Jack Russell Terrier and sipping a beer on his steps around the corner, Antonio Coleman, 52, said he grew up with one of the victim's fathers. He called him a "good kid" who "did not deserve that."

Baltimore's mayor: Spike in crime 'disheartening'

"He ain't into no drugs, no gangs, none of that," Coleman said.

Crime scene tape flapped in the breeze, tied to the door of J&R Deli and Grocery on the corner of Preston Street and Patterson Park Avenue.

Jose Guzman, the owner, rang up a pack of cigarettes for the store's sole customer and said detectives had come in to ask him if he'd heard the gunshots. He told them he hadn't.

"It kills a lot of business," he said.

In the other double shooting Sunday night, a man was shot in the back and a woman was shot in the thigh just after 8 p.m. in the 2100 block of Hollins St. in Southwest Baltimore. The Sunday night double shooting happened one block from Hollins and Payson streets, where a woman was killed in a shooting the previous afternoon.

Earlier in the afternoon, a man was shot multiple times in his abdomen just before 1 p.m. in the 900 block of Ducatel St. in Reservoir Hill, police said. He later died of his injuries. Anyone with information may call 410-396-2100.

Just after 11:30 a.m., another man walked into a hospital with a bullet wound to his arm from a shooting in the 800 block of W. Lexington St. in Poppleton, near the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center, police said. Western District detectives are investigating, and anyone with information may call 410-396-2477.

In a shooting just before midnight Saturday, a 27-year-old man was found shot in the shoulder in the 1700 block of Normal Ave. in Darley Park, on the east side of the city. Anyone with information may call 410-397-2433.

None of the victims were identified. The injured victims' conditions were not released, and police did not provide information regarding suspects or motives.

Prior to the Saturday night shooting, police were investigating 11 shootings since Friday night — five of them fatal.

I have a feeling those shootings are related to the gangs uniting. The same thing happened in LA after the riots. The members said the police was orchestrating the shootings because they didn't want unity. I don't know if that's the case in baltimore, but I do think it has something to do with the gang unification. You know how many people don't like that within the gangs?

I don't ever sleep on my enemies, and I'm not saying the police are my enemies, but some of them are because they like the bullshyt to happen. Remember, if things were peaceful a lot of people will be out of jobs, so there will never be full peace Ina major city. Especially if the city is majority black, they know no one will care. If it was majority white, shyt will be talked about, and stopped. Its not hard to get shyt low because most homicides are from shootings or stabbings, and they are done at night between people who know each other. All you have to do is find ways for people to solve issues without violence, and give them something to do at night. I was one of those people who was a night owl, and seen these crimes happen, so I'm not repeating what I read off of the news, the night time is when the wolves come out for real:demonic:

Or a much likely scenario is that since the police's hands are tied. nikkas is going crazy without due to no fear of reprisal .

Nah, criminals don't think like that, they do what they want regardless. You are thinking like a good regular person, they don't. Its one of the reasons I stopped hanging with them. And the police hands aren't tied, I don't know where you got that from. Teating people with respect when being detained is not hard to do. The only times an officer hands are tied is when the laws are written a certain way.

Criminals aren't dumb breh. They know that The police are under heavy scrutiny after that Freddie Grey debacle, and nikkas know it to. You have to be naive as hell to not think Criminals don't pick up on shyt like that. Hell after the tornado hit our neighborhood, nikkas was stealing copper out of folks homes soon as the sun went down. And the police ended up catching a shyt load of people from various neighborhoods over trying to do similar shyt, or steal shyt too.

I just told you in so many words, I know how criminals think because I was around them. If you don't get it, I don't know what to tell you.

Also, you just said a tornado had people doing shyt, of course they did because the police had other things to do, and it was the perfect time to hit a lick. Nothing like that has happened in Baltimore, and the police have nothing taking up their time. You even wrote the police caught the people, and they were stealing not shooting, big difference. If the police aren't doing their job, its because they are being dikkheads, not because their hands are tied. There is nothing keeping them from arresting people, unless they want to hurt them, and now scared they will get in trouble for it.

I see y'all want to believe what you want, and I understand because y'all are squares who don't really understand the underworld, so you believe what you are told, but I'm telling you its not like that in most cases. The police can be just as dirty as the criminals, the criminals beef with each other, and know each other because shooters, and criminals know each other in some type of way being that they do business together, and most of the shyt happens from money, drugs, alcohol and just being bored. I was there, and lived it.

Y'all can go back to getting tricked, only to have blacks stay getting conned out of their areas, and businesses. Just like the shootings are up in Baltimore, why dont anyone post about the people whoare going to predominantly black schools there? Morgan State, and Coppin state have black students who are bettering themselves, but all I see is how fukked up Baltimore is. Its more of them then the criminals, but no talking about that. I hear how black womem are the lowest on here from too many, yet they are the highest educated out of all, but when that was brought up, it was still shyt talking happening in the thread, and i think there is more to be done, but the truth is still the truth, so I give props where its due.

I already know we are a lost people so its expected but it gets tiring to hear, especially when I know the con game that is being played because I lived the life, and not just read it or heard it in songs.

Can some of you read between the lines:sas2:
Cops make largest heroin bust in New York history
http://nypost.com/2015/05/19/cops-make-largest-heroin-bust-in-new-york-history/

"Authorities said the mammoth stash, tucked away in the bowels of a large SUV, was just one in a series of shipments slated for delivery throughout the five boroughs, as well as Connecticut, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania and Rhode Island."

When its a drought, shyt gets hot. If you know Baltimore, you know that boy moves there. Same as Philly. You think its a coincidence the month of May saw so many shootings in Baltimore, and the bust happened in the same month? Open your eyes people, its all about money or addiction. People are not just going around just innocently getting shot. You have exceptions, but that isn't the norm. That is the news' narrative, but that is for sensationalism, the truth is much more simple.

Baltimore has been known for heroin since back in the day. If they can fix the heroin addictions, a lot of the cities problem will be healed. The same for Philly. A lot of the addicts are white, and got money to spend, so the dealers are fighting for that dollar since the product is available in low amounts after the bust.

For those who think I'm bullshytting:
http://www.thefix.com/content/baltimore-heroin-capital-us
Baltimore: The Heroin Capital of the U.S.

"In the meantime, Hogan’s speech has drawn a lot of public attention to the issue, and the state has followed Christie’s lead on assembling a special task force, to be led by Maryland Lieutenant Governor Boyd Rutherford. Additionally, recent efforts to prevent heroin distribution in Maryland include joining a six-state coalition to target a supply line of the drug along the East Coast, as New York and New Jersey provide nearly a quarter of the heroin found in Baltimore. "
