There are a lot of issues in our community but the vast majority of black people aren't savages. What that kid showed was savage behavior and that is undeniable.

Well, in what way? I commend your desire, but you need to really have a precise plan. It is easy to say "I want to work with teens" but there are so many different "types" of troubled teens. Do you want to work with truants? Teens in the foster system? Teens who have done juvie?

We need more ppl to work with the 5-10/11-14 age group.

It was a savage attack but that doesn't mean he's a savage. With the proper guidance you don't kno what this kid could end up being. I have ties to a church that have juvies and adults do their community service hours with them, so all I gotta do is volunteer and work with the violent teen offenders.

I don't think the kid is a savage. He's misguided and has no idea how to handle his anger. He beat a kid up. Really bad. Sometimes you get lost in anger and once you get the momentum going on something like a fight (or what feels like a fight) it's hard to stop. He should have handled his anger better. I don't know what type of home he was brought up in, but I have a feeling it contributed to his behavior. He's misguided more than savage.

I'm not concerned with how CACs are judged because it has no bearing on me as a Black Man. They control this society we do not. So it is irrelevant at the end of the day especially as a young powerless Black Male his age. I don't care if his step-father beat him. He needs to learn that when you mess with people this is what will happen to you.

He needs to learn the hard way that it doesn't matter what happened to you in life - If you commit a crime you're going to jail. As a parent, im speechless. this shows why you wanna get a decent job so you can afford to send your kids to decent schools. schools where kids parents value education. now school is just a place to babysit your kid while mom and dad works. schools that push kids to do their best. schools that want kids to go to college and SUCCEED. you're always gonna have bad apples and bullies in schools. but what i saw took it to a different extreme. i wont judge this guy because maybe he snapped. He could be a honor roll student. maybe he had dreams of going to college. I hate to see a young black man throwing away his future.
