I just hope they have some capable finance people on their side when Sand Hill comes knocking. Make sure they get their valuation correct before coming to the table.

Yeah, but is this company tackling a big/important problem though? Is it a transformative company that warrants VC money? It's still in its infant stage if you ask me.

I'll add to my previous post. Capital is easy to get. The hard part is convincing potential recruits and customers of course.

That's the thing. They're going to have to prove that their visualization tech has other potential uses. There are only so many parts people need to find! Reliability of consumer products has increased to such a point that we rarely have to replace parts and when something does break, we usually just buy a new product.

Their best bet would be to get Google to buy them so they can incorporate the visualization tech in Google Glass. Otherwise, Google will simply integrate the same functionality in Glass on their own. I'm pretty sure Google already has something planned like that for Glass.

"100k from two family friends"

This is what we as black people should be doing more often. thumbs up to those family members that supported a now successful start up. This is what other races do for one another, Jews do this all the time. We need to stop being so selfish to one another and help our brothas and sisters be the best they can be.

Real talk we should have a coli fund raiser and send them a check man. That's a beautiful fukking story :mjcry:

It could be. The visualization tech could have bigger and better uses beyond identifying parts, breh.

they talked about it already to an extent.

They're starting with certain part classes as a lot of suppliers have already said that small numbers of parts represent something like 80% of all of their requests so they can narrow their findings.

peep the videos.

they seem to have some REALLY strong ideas here but money is a major hurdle.

the fact they've been able to do so much this quickly is dope but time is of the essence.

I haven't watched the video, but will this eventually be a public company? Seems like something I would want to purchase stock in on gp.
get your money up and you can be a VC who re-coups on the backend

Thats where the real money is :sadcam:

IPOs are for the herbs :wow:

Ya, i'm quite confident Google has considered all use cases.

I understand, but how competitive is their industry. Are they fully comparable and competitive with other companies in their industry? Do they have a competitive advantage over the next company? I want them to succeed as much as you do, I'm just reluctant to over-hype. I'm going to keep following their moves, though. :obama:
