The fact that they were saying IT may not even be ready for the start of the season after having 5 months of rest should have been a big red flag.
Cavs have played this beautifully bruh. They can not lose with this situation.

Either Ainge gives us additional 'reasonable' compensation for IT's injury or the Cavs recind the trade and Boston has egg on their face for not drafting Fultz or Ball with the #1 pick.

Simple.

Cavs realize how wack this trade was for them.

Kyrie was so good he prevented a sweep against the Warriors.

This trade doesnt help them beat the warriors. Not only that the Warriors would sweep them off the floor averaging 30ppg easy

people talking about fleecing. What good is a 2018 pick if Lebron gone?

They need to win this year. The window is shut close after this season.

They need to package Love and Kyrie and get back some mega stars and shooters
Nothing they do this offseason still won't put them above the Warriors plus Bron already got one foot out the door.. Cavs should be thinking about the future:what:

Losing the Brooklyn pick and being stuck with a guy who requested a trade and was already traded once is not a good situation. That pick is the most valuable piece of the entire trade

What future? No one wants to go there and they have done a shyt job at drafting. There are one of the few, very few, teams that have any semblance of a shot against the Warriors. One injury or off series for Steph or KD and those odds go even higher (most teams would still lose to the Warriors if they were missing one of them or if one of them didn't play well). If you got a shot at a chip, you go for it. Nothing is guaranteed with the future...especially when your owner doesn't respect the GM position AND doesn't really know what the hell he's doing.

This. The warriors are the better team but if Bron leaves it could be decades before they get this close again. You go for it. If every team laid down to the best team every then we'd never get new champs.

Depending on how Brooklyn does that 1st round pick will be in the lottery. Bron leaves the Cavs are f*cked for years. That lottery pick could produce a star that'll be stuck in Cleveland for at least five years. But they really can't do sh*t when Bron keeps his options open and is non-committal

Breh I am :mindblown: at how people are willing to just toss a shot at a chip out the window to hurry up and get to a rebuild that guarantees nothing. People really don't understand or appreciate how rare it is to compete for a chip, let alone win one. A lot of fans really think this shyt is like Franchise mode on a video game :dead:.

Ainge isn't going to renegotiate. He's going to have the deal rescind and leave the Cavs with nothing, especially losing that draft pick. What's more than likely going to happen is that IT is going to be on injured reserve, have the operation done for his hip, and then be traded mid-season for low value. Rumor has it now, that Ainge is in talks with Golden State for Klay Thomspon. Either way, Ainge is going to acquire someone and STILL have the leverage and the picks to get someone if he cannot get Kyrie.

Meanwhile, the Cavs is going to be stuck with Kyrie and more than likely not going to trade him. If they DO trade him it's not going to be as great of a deal they had with the Celtics. People saying this is to the Cavs advantage, I don't see it. That's assuming that Ainge REALLY want Kyrie that bad instead of him really want to get rid of IT.

Something doesn't sound right about this story. So I remember IT decided not to have surgery and would let it heal on its own. but now Cavs doctors are worried about his hip. So to me, either Celtics doctors dropped the ball on the severity of the hip or Ainge knew the hip was worse than expected, and tried to fleece the Cavs which is why they gave up so much. Because they knew Thomas inury was worse than expected. Because how do we get from I'm gonna let it heal on its own to now He hasn't begun running yet which is a concern.

That Brooklyn pick is definitely gonna be in the lottery. What part of "shyt job at drafting" did you not understand? This org has not demonstrated the competence or cohesiveness or consistency necessary to build anything...without a generational talent carrying them that is. They are fukked for years when he leaves regardless. It doesn't really speak well of a org when you as the person riding for them says a guy will be "stuck" there.
