How are the Cavs left with nothing when they have the player that isn't injured? If the trade is voided the Celtics are left with Thomas who may need surgery which would end his season. The Cavs made the trade not just for the BK pick but so that they can compete right now as well, if it were just about protecting the future they would have asked for guys on their rookie deals.

Ainge is not going to renegotiate. It's not that desperate on his end. Would you rather give it ALL just for Kyrie??? Or keep what you have which was that Nets draft pick and Crowder?? I'm still waiting. Where is Cleveland getting a better deal for Kyrie. This is why some of y'all need to stop posting. The trade was never "bad" for Boston. It was too much to give up in my view but it still made sense for them. But more to the point, it made a TON of sense for Cleveland.

Ainge and every exec in the world knows LeBron is gone. After this season Cleveland is left with nothing. Kyrie ain't signing there longterm no matter what. So what's the plan? Keep Kyrie for another year and lose him for nothing?
