They definitely have leverage now, which is why they haven't voided the trade just yet and will be discussing renegotiation with the Celtics.

They have a trade already lined up with the Bucks for Brogdon and Middleton.

Whats stopping danny and the celtics from just keeping what they had if the cavs dont want it :gucci:

Wrong. Stevens didn't make the trade, the players love IT and IT needs to show that he can play to get a max deal next year. Y'all will say ANYTHING

:laff:
If the trade is voided, IT either will be playing at 70% (at best) all season or get surgery and miss the season. If he is playing or around the team it will be a media distraction because of the backstabbing nature of the trade and him wanting a max. All the Celtics players will constantly get asked about it. This can be a cancer in the locker room.

Furthermore, his trade value is way down. Now he's most likely viewed as just a $6M expiring, which isn't enough to get much in return to help the team replace him at point guard.

Edit: I also didn't even mention that y'all would have to get rid of Crowder. Dude is too emotional to get over getting traded. I wouldn't be surprised if other teams try to low ball Ainge for him since everybody knows y'all have to get rid of him. Reminds me of how the Lakers had to accept a trade exception just to get rid of Odom after the CP3 trade was veto'd.

49ers..Braves..Celtics
So they should just accept an injured player?

they don't have to accept anything. Keep Kyrie if y'all want or make that Bucks deal and get swept by the Warriors. It's their choice. If IT's value decreases to other teams, Ainge still has Crowder and the Brooklyn pick back in the fold. :manny:

Thomas has an injury that typically ends people's season and didn't get surgery on it?

Take him back, finish wherever you was gonna finish at and draft his replacement in 2018. fukk adding players to a done deal. That's not leverage for the Cavs in my opinion.

Would y'all give IT and the Lakers or Nets' pick, plus a late first or early second, if needed, for Schroder? I think he has all-star upside and his contract is very team friendly, plus he's stuck on a shytty team tanking. He's no Kyrie right now but he balled on Wall in the playoffs.

Imagine IT being traded for Schroder though:sadcam:
That lil nikka hate him.

Optimistic But I Got Hands Tho
Ainge is not going to renegotiate. It's not that desperate on his end. Would you rather give it ALL just for Kyrie??? Or keep what you have which was that Nets draft pick and Crowder?? He's not going to budge. Cavs on the other hand needs something for their future after LeBron leaves, because they'll be a shytty team once again.... and the deal they currently got can't get more better than this. If anything, I wouldn't be surprise that they KEEP the current deal and hope that IT's injury isn't season ending.

If Ainge wasn't willing to renegotiate there wouldn't be a conference call today goofy.

If the Suns offered Bledsoe/Warren/1st round pick which would you rather have?

I gotta admit I didn't watch the Hawks that much but the eye test tells me he has the potential to be a 23/8 kind of player. I don't know about his defense though but it looks like he's improving a lot every season, plus he's young and locked on 15M a year until 2021:wow:

We could even add another superstar.

are you his doctor?
Don't be dumb. If he couldn't play through it in the playoffs then what makes you think he can play injured an entire season at 5'9, with the way he plays. All it takes is one hard fall to the ground and he's back to square one. No player in recent history has been able to play effectively with a torn labrum in their hip. Training camp starts in three weeks and the man can't even run yet...
