Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
And that's the point. The Cavs wasn't going to give him a max deal, thus why he would of been a rental. Just for this season then a free agent. With LeBron bouncing, you think IT is going to stay and it's NOT for a max deal? Hell no.

:mindblown:

They could resign him without giving him a max because there's no where else to go, which is what happened to Lowry.
:dahell:
his injury didn't even need surgery. da hell is going on?

Celtics said he didn't need surgery, right after the news of Kyrie wanting a trade came out

If the CAVS are the ones desperately wanting that Nets pick...how is it the CELTICS need to give a little more? Ainge could say take it or leave it. And then what?

Then they leave it and trade kyrie somewhere else, while celtics are stuck with injured thomas and disgruntled jae crowder :MjgrinAnime:

The Cavs would try to resign him... but IT publicly stated he wants the MAX.... and if the Cavs isn't willing to give him that, he was going to go somewhere ELSE. He's a free agent next season.

And more trade leverage... which Danny Ainge always have. What leverage did the Cavs have with a MORE disgruntled Kyrie???

I don't think you understand how the salary cap works, very few teams have max room next summer :wtf:

kyrie wont be as bad
he asked to be traded
doesnt seem like hes even happy to go there but they traded him to a solid team, not the kings.
if he comes back he comes back

isiah and crowder coming back will make their whole season a write off
they aint gettin over that shyt

IT is a bit of a novelty act

No way with his size that he'll be able to dominate scoring wise deep into the playoffs like Kyrie did

This might be a blessing in disguise for Cleveland

Nets pick >>>>> Malcolm Brogdon
Crowder at $7 mil a year for the next 3 years > Khris Middleton at 14

I agree the Nets pick is better than Brogdon, but it doesn't help them right now, which is why Thomas needed to be part of the deal.

Khris is much better than Crowder regardless of salary, he's basically poor man's Klay Thompson and an elite man to man defender.

People asking why doesnt Lebron commit?

Because why would he give up any leverage that he has before the season starts? He is the biggest star in the nba...can negotiate for enormous compensation(which is still vastly undervalued by the way)..watched his team owner get cheap with [aying a competent GM...listened to his wing partner claim that he is tired of being in his shadow even when he went out of his way to give effusive praise to that partner..

he signs long term Gilbert immediately becomes a cheapskate....I would bet Gilbert is happy with just one chip

No any rational person would wait till the end of the season where a far more in depth assessment of the situation can be had.......

My thoughts exactly

Lebron basically has a "get out of Hell" free card if ANY fukkery goes down in Cleveland (kind of like RIGHT NOW) why would he give that up? ESPECIALLY with an owner like Gilbert at the helm

Lol funny how quick nikkas want Kyrie back

Kyrie was legit their 1B

nikkas was in here trying to convince me otherwise the other night

Yall better hope the trade is vetoed because Kyrie lowkey was the most clutch player on that team

It'll help them a lot when LeBron leaves in a year. Cause there isn't any Kyrie trade that will give them a shot in a fair one against GS.

When you're in luxury tax hell like the Cavs are, I would think they would care about paying twice as much, especially when said player doesn't put them over the top

Celtics had a major medical evaluation overhaul with their staff this summer.

:mjtea2:

Something ain't adding up. If they fukked up this dude's career/finances by not telling him he needed surgery for selfish organization reasons...

:skressed:

This is what I don't get. Isaiah was injured all the way back in May. You're saying Celtics halted surgery for Isaiah to get Kyrie when Kyrie was still in the playoffs in June and said he wanted out in July

Doesn't make sense
