Thought I'd share.
O.K. So my brother called me up early as fukk Thursday on some:blessed:
I'm still waking up at 6 a.m., but he's 3 hours ahead. So I'm ... :why:.. nikka. Hurry up :russell:..

shyt went like this...

"Yo brodie... I need to run this by you. I finally got through to this quiet chick that's always in the library.
She's fine as fukk. Body is crazy.. glasses and shyt. I know she's not smutting because she's always in them books... No dudes was hollerin at her so I figured whatever...Spring Break is coming up. Gotta eat...:takedat:"...

I asked him, nikka is this 6 a.m. important??? and the bigger question.. is why the fukk do you need to run this by me??

His words..

"She has autism...She's high functioning though..Not like rainman or nothing..She kept talking about book bindings and how my eyebrows were dark and symmetrical ("NOTHING WIERD")... she with the shyts breh.. Should I still smash ?"

To keep this little nikka outta the Dean's office and to get that last 45 of sleep...

I let him off with :dahell:.. NO nikka. Go to class.

My wife looking at me like..:mindblown: What's wrong with your family ??..

I hung up the phone and I thought to myself.. shyt I would probably smash.:shaq::yeshrug:.

My gf, has aspergers. I'm not in jail. They're regular people just a little different.
what is that, like please go in depth and how do you know she has it besides her telling you she has it.

It's a mild form of autism. They focus on certain things and repeat stories. They don't like new do thing. They also aren't social and are very selective of who they communicate with.

People with aspergers need love too. They aren't mentally challenged. Usually just quiet and/or socially awkward.

You usually can't even tell that there's anything wrong with them unless they tell you.

You should google it.

More males than females are diagnosed with Aspergers. While every person who has the condition will experience different symptoms and severity of symptoms, some of the more common characteristics include:
  • average or above-average intelligence
  • difficulties with high-level language skills such as verbal reasoning, problem solving, making inferences and predictions
  • difficulties in empathising with others
  • problems with understanding another person’s point of view
  • difficulties engaging in social routines such as conversations and ‘small talk’
  • problems with controlling feelings such as anger, depression and anxiety
  • a preference for routines and schedules which can result in stress or anxiety if a routine is disrupted
  • specialised fields of interest or hobbies.

Idk.
The symptoms seem pretty normal for introverted/quiet/shy/awkward people.

I think one of the main differences is that they don't understand social stuff. I think awkward ppl understand, but are just too uncomfy to participate. I'm not 100% sure at all though. Maybe you should ask a doctor or something.

I was confused too b/c it sounds so similar.

Here are more syptoms that I found.

    • difficulty making friends of the same age, children with AS may feel more comfortable with adults or much younger children
    • engages in one-sided, long-winded conversations, without noticing if the listener is still listening or trying to change the subject
    • displays unusual nonverbal communication, such as lack of eye contact, few facial expressions, or awkward body postures and gestures
    • does not empathize with or seems insensitive to others’ feelings and has a hard time “reading” other people or may have difficulty understanding humor
    • doesn’t understand the give-and-take of conversation or engage in “small talk”
    • seems egocentric or self-absorbed
    • may speak in a voice that is monotone, rigid, jerky or unusually fast
    • may be extremely literal or have difficulty understanding the nuances of language, despite having a good vocabulary
    • may have an intense obsession with one or two specific, narrow subjects
    • may strongly prefer repetitive routines or rituals and becomes upset at any small changes
    • may memorize information and facts easily, especially information related to a topic of interest
    • may have clumsy, uncoordinated movements, an odd posture or a rigid gait
    • may perform repetitive movements, such as hand or finger flapping
    • may engage in violent outbursts, self-injurious behaviors, tantrums or meltdowns
    • may be hypersensitive to sensory stimulation such as light, sound, and texture
    • may “day dream” or “zone out” when overstimulated
I think a lot of these symptoms apply to shy/awkward/quiet people.
