Look, it's sad the girl killed herself and it's a tragedy, but that's what it is, a tragedy. There will always be some outliers doesn't mean the course is wrong.

Same way there are people allergic to peanut butter or milk, doesn't mean society avoid those products.

As a parent I can tell you there are fewer options than you think to discipline your child. Children are smart and getting smarter, they will eventually call your bluff. There are some kids such as my daughter who doesn't care about items being taken for punishment. She hasn't had her phone for a year...just shrugs shoulders.

And you can raise your child right, but when they're exposed to kids who aren't patented right, those demons jump on ghem.

The father was wron b for cutting her hair (I can't fathom that) bug I fully support embarrassment. The only thing that kept me in line as a kid was the threat of MA dukes coming to the school in that raggedy house coat with dried spit round her mouf

i'm not assuming anything. i use that as an example of a possible reason a father would be upset enough to cut off his daughters hair. usually to be shamed like that, you have had to do something extreme to receive the extreme punishment.

Kid gets caught trying to bang in dem streets or sell drugs, pops finds out. pops puts the camera on and goes in on his kid about being a thug and trying to be hard as he challenges him to a fight. not the idea scenario. but thats an extreme situation that takes extreme measures. not saying i agree or disagree. i'm just saying extreme for extreme. in order to get your childs attention. i've told you verbally multiple times. i've begged you, pleaded with you to not do it again. and you just REFUSE to do what i have asked of you. at what point does a parent take serious action?

and what should those actions be? fine no haircuts on videos, no box outs with your son. So what do you do? you've taken the phone away(you've seen and heard about kids trying to kill/poison their parents for doing this too), take away the ipad, the laptop, the xbox/ps, etc. your kid is still wilding out.
its only two options left. do something extreme or call social services and tell them to take your kid and put him/her into foster care.

you cant assume "oh well little brian is just going thru a phase." you dont know that. you dont know if this is just a phase or the building blocks of brian the thug or lisa the THOT. and as a parent you will of course air on the side of caution.
