It needs to be criticized on both ends, whether it's done to either boys or girls. Disciplining your kids should be a private matter period. What are these parents intending to accomplish by blasting their kids over social media? They want some kind of, "Look at me, I'm parenting!" kind of attention and it's pathetic. You simply don't embarrass your kids in front of everyone. They already have enough to deal with when it comes from ridicule at school from their peers.

Teenager's brains are not finished developing, they can't deal with stress/embarrassment like an adult would. This goes for both males and females.

Being a teenager in our society and going through puberty and adolescence is probably the most emotionally unstable part of anyone's life tho. There's a reason most cases of Bipolar disorder show up before 25. Minds are still forming.
Dad just ain't shyt. Parents should understand that before they have kids, because they were once kids too. If you can't handle that, don't have kids.
Especially at 13. That's peak time for actually acting on interests in the opposite sex and he basically took away her social status with that. That's a lot for a 13 year old to hand, unexpectedly.
She was a pretty girl one day at school and then had that snatched away. Can't expect her to grow a shyt load of self-esteem over night. Family should have kicked the dad's ass once they knew what happened.
Would be some real problems in my fam if my pops ever did that to my little sis, or if i ever heard of that happening to anyone in my fam. So shameful.

Actually public shaming is a great tool that needs to be used more. I'll explain.
As a parent you know your child's DNA. You know when they're not built like that and are doing things to fit in with the wrong crowd.
What public shaming or the threat of does is make the median child realize "hey, I might get embarrassed and NEVER fit in with this crowd so I better chill". I know this stance because it was me.
Now you have your outliers on both ends of the spectrum. Those who public shaming only makes them goof harder, and those it will drive to suicide.
There was nothing you can take from me, I'll buck curfew and come home and take that whippen in proud silence........what can you do with a child like that? You have to try and remove their desire to run with that gang. Ruin them in the eyes of that gang so the GANG REJECTS THEM.

People who think it's fine to humiliate children in hopes of teaching them a lesson will ignore this story and continue thinking that all kids can handle going through stuff like this.

Yyup, exactly why I'm that one nikka of the crew whose the "self-righteous" one. I'm always saying, "yo chill, thats not right" And I've NEVER liked bullying bruh, ever. I can't stand to see anyone picked on.
You never know how nikkas internalize ish. I had anxiety and low self-esteem from the ages of 10 to like 16 because I would get picked on for being chubby. Then all of a sudden, one summer I grew 6 inches and lost about 30 lbs, same nikkas teasing me we're the same nikkas tryna dap me up. Crazy man.
