thats why its one of my favorite albumsI got a lot of heat for saying this in an old thread about that album but for as much as I liked it, they sorely missed Prince Pauls vibe. They came across as hectoring grumps and complainers instead of just making good music to counteract the bullshyt going on at the time.
they was seeig the future of what was to come.that barman EP is one of my favorites.Paul doesn't get mentioned enough as one of the GOAT producers. He's always been in my top 5. The catalog is crazy and spans so many eras and styles. He's always been more leftfield than guys like Premo and Pete, and hasn't really been a go to for hire producer working with the biggest names since the early 90s, so he doesn't have them joints with Nas, Hov, Big etc that people go back to. But in terms of crafting a project from beginning to end, very little are better.
And not just the Stetasonic, De La and Gravediggaz work. But his solo discography is very underrated too. Plus Handsome Boy Modeling. Even that Paul Barman EP had fire beats.
prince paul a comedic geniusMobb?I really liked it, especially the track with David Byrne. Really hanging my hopes on this, I've been disappointed with everything after Slick. This one has huge potential though.

Typical de la soul. Hot as usual.
