Of course I'm backing Fitzpatrick. He's the best QB on the roster. If we could go back and not hire Maccagnan I'd love to but that's not going to happen

Of course you're backing a qb that:

1.provide us neither immediate rewards
2. nor long term help

Exactly what am I saying wrong here?

I'm my own spokesman, and the trash you just posted has zero to do with you wanting this current time waster at qb.

Of course it does. Not my fault you can't figure out why.

Remember, this is what the billboard people wanted. Maccagnan has been a total trainwreck as a GM.
That bad huh? I thought him learning how to build a roster here in Houston wouldve given him some sense. I was surprised he took Hackenberg in the 2nd round so early but I guess he got wind of Obrien really wanting him but wouldnt overpay like the Jets did. :manny:

Committing guaranteed money to past performance is the easiest way to get fired. Revis, Harris and Cromartie were all awful contracts. The Jets went from having the best cap situation in the league to now the worst in less than two years.

Good God, man. You should have just said "no comment". What gives you the slightest impression that he can?

The issue with the question is that it's an irrelevant benchmark to begin with. The Texans and Redskins made the playoffs last year- who cares? There are bigger issues with current Jets roster that no one wants to talk about because you're stuck on Geno not playing.

I'm not stuck on Geno not playing. At this point, I'd want anyone but Fitz. shyt, bring back Tebow. We can work something out with the Mets. Fitz is the worst. Even worse than just being the worst, he's mediocre.

In fairness to the poster nobody is absolving fitz of the blame.

But if you're the coach and you watch your qb throw pick after pick it's probably better to try a different approach rather than keep doing what's failing.

Fitz throwing this picks is on him. The coaches not adjusting to what was happening is most definitely on them.

If a a RB fumbles the ball a few times to the other team in the redzone what coach in their right mind would keep handing it to him there? He would be benched or they'd try something else. Same principle.

Yes, thank you for putting that into words better than I was able to.
