The defense had 7 seven sacks and limited the Bengals to 20 points.

Fitz of the other hand played like a gimp and registered bottom 5 QBS effienciency numbers (YPA, QB rating, completion %). Logically then Fitz is to blame for our loss.

Don't like the forum emphasizing this true fact? fukk outta here. This isn't reddit.

No mention of the kicker costing us the game?

Youve moved on from the jets since Geno got benched anyway let's be honest :mjlol:

I dont get this "better" angle.

Better for this season? A season that would lead to a few wins, keep us in the middle of the draft pack which eventually hurts our future you obvioualy care little about? Yeah....Fitz is the better option.

Better for our future? A future built on younger qbs and them getting reps this season to build upon a good future we hope they can bring us? Yes...Petty or Geno are better options.

It's really that simple

Fitz's had a multitude of chances to make plays and score points and failed to do so. If Fitz hadn't played like shyt, we would have won. Its that simple. Stop looking for somebody else to blame. It's not the kickers fault.

I'll gladly tank the season if we land a franchise qb. Except there isn't one in next draft

That's the hide behind excuse you hear by those rallying behind Fitz.

You have to make up your mind. At rhe end of the day, there is tanking and there is middle of the road 1980s Milwaukee Bucks mediocrity that has no future to build upon

So what is it with you type of fans?

Or Marshall dropping a sure first down at midfield on the final drive?

Yeah you're clearly not biased here :mjlol:

The nfl is structurally different then the nba. Tanking doesn't happen as often and much harder to pull off.

Plus if you're in the playoffs in the nfl anything can happen. 99 percent of nba teams know they have zero shot to win a title going into the playoffs and the only shot they have is to land that franchise player

You say this as if I didn't bring up starting a green or young qb which would produce more certainty at tanking.

All of this is jibber jabber. Like seriously...I rather you just say it's worthless giving the younger guys needed reps at qb because you can give two shyts about our future than this stuff

The funny thing is, the Jets have taken the right approach the last two drafts - taking a young QB mid rounds (Petty and Hackenberg) and probably not letting em play for the first two seasons so they can learn/not be overwhelmed.

Regarding today's game

The Good

- D-Line. MoWilks was eating, Leonard Willians was legit a wrecking ball, McClendon showing out early.

- Offensive Line. I expected this to be our weakest point on the team. Surprisingly played really well today.

- Matt Forte. Added element on the offense, looks like he still has a lot. Played awesome today.

- Enunwa. Looks like he's gonna be a legit 3 WR option for us.

- Jalin Marshall. Already showing out on special teams and as a 4th WR option.

The Eh

- Linebackers played okay. Nothing to write home about but nothing to cry over either.

- Play calling. Couple times on 2nd and 3rd down we had some questionable options that led us to bringing the FG unit out. Two that come to mind (passing to Enunwa on 2nd down and then opting to run instead of vice versa while inside the 5)

- Workload for Powell. Think we could've utilized him a bit more, but this is just me nitpicking.

The Bad & Ugly

- Darrelle Revis. Bad news: he played like absolute shyt. Might be washed, might not though. Good news: only $7 mil dead cap next season if we cut him this coming off season. Less than a mil twice after that. Oh, and Sammy Watkins who absolutely owns his shyt plays him on Thursday with the Bills coming off a loss and Watkins having a subpar game. You know he's gonna go off.

- Marcus Williams. Missed a ton of tackles. Wearing Kyle Wilson's old number so you know he's bound to be dog shyt this season.

- Ryan Fitzpatrick. [Shrugs] what are you gonna do. We knew what we were getting with him. The second we went down after the Nugent FG, I knew we lost the game. Relying on Fitz to throw the ball to win you the game is never a plan you can trust.

- Brandon Marshall. Dropped two gimme catches (one on the final drive that would've got us 20 yards). Semi non-existent today. Can't be having that.

- Nick Folk. Time for you to find a new home bud. Between the missed extra point and missed FG, the loss is on him.
