I told him to go 1440p too. I said the investment for 4K isn't worth it when it barely looks better than 1440p, requires 2-3 cards, and costs thousands of dollars. I dunno what he wants now...

shyt whatever looks the best I didnt know 4K was that expensive

4K is unrealistic unless you wanna drop $1500+ on gpus. Stick with 1440p (there really isn't that much of a difference. I know firsthand because I have a 4K tv and 3 1440p monitors)

Get an i7, 16gb ram, nvidia 980ti, a big ssd, and a good psu. Bare in mind you'll need to spend over $1k for this (and that's not including the monitor). It's an investment, but PC gaming done right is :ohlawd:
This is what I plan to do for 2016 :wow:

So the consensus is

Graphics card a 970 4GB
I5 6600K /Motherboard bundle (Micro Center - Computers and Electronics).

What's the best memory?
It doesn't really matter what kinda ram you have. Just get 16gb. Some will tell you 8gb is enough, but nah, go with 16 and you'll have no paging.

And with a 970, you're looking at 1080p. It'll be all ultra and look great, but it's no 1440p

Double the resolution of 1080p. The difference is very noticeable. If you can spare another $300 for a 980ti, another $100 for a better psu, and another $5-600 for a 1440p monitor, you'll be very impressed with PC gaming. I could never go back to 1080p in my PC, after seeing 1440p.

So the average price fpr a card doing 1440P is 600 or so

Best gpu at 300 brehs?
Just spend the $20-$50 more and get an nvidia 970. At your budget, it's the best you're gonna get, and you'll be playing at 1080p. Gotta spend double that for 1440p, all ultra, 60 fps on most games (and you'll still have a few games you won't be able to max out without two cards)
