It's ok, OP! It's hard to get into the swing of a lifestyle change but when you do it's so worth it. First thing I'd do if I were you is sign up for a gym membership. If you can't afford it or don't want one, you can always play organized sports with friends or people on Meetup.com. Another thing that could help is cutting out all junk food and forcing yourself to walk places more and drink hella water.

status but I had a bit of a health scare recently and I am at the heaviest I've ever been, so I've been going hard in the gym for the first time since high school and it's been TOTALLY worth it. I can feel my hip bones again lol. But forreal, if you want a personal trainer, hit up @KOOL-AID. I did and it saved my life. :banderas:

my story

broke my ankle in 2006 and was up to 400 lbs cause i was laid up for 4 months

lost my job, girls :camby: my ass and friends cut me off, i couldnt sleep & was having panic attacks, etc..

then i got me a new job, the pay wasnt great but i was working, started feeling better about myself, then i started eating only subway, soups and started walking around the hood and did all my push ups and sit ups at home watching tv
now im down to middle linebacker size of 270 and muscles, but i want to lose another 30 by end of summer, no friends just associates,

focus on yourself & your money and stop trying to live your life to impress others and impress yourself

OP if you really serious about this

my advice:

-low sodium, cut out the sugars, white breads, starchy carbs like rice/pasta

-eat extra lean meat and greens

-drink tons of water

-get enough sleep

-if you have time do cardio on empty stomach in the early morning, weights at night, about 4x a week

-first 2 months will be hell keep pushin

find your motivation breh, you got a lot of vices so look beyond the physical toward your health first of all. i moved back to the bay, and i'm around my parents more and see how old they let themselves get from not taking care of themselves (my dad especially), so that's been part of my motivation to get back fit. i don't want to be 60 talking about i cant travel to europe cuz i can't keep up with the walking. i'm also not trying to have all the typical old black folk diseases - gout, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, diabetes, etc. think LOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG term

seriously, eat vegetables and fruit. do cardiovascular exercise for fat burning. and lift weights or something heavy for anaerobic exercise, you'll turn fat into muscle that way

There's no such thing as "lean meat" also; fat is in the muscle of the meat, all about it. Cardio on an empty stomach? Pathetic :russ: You need to eat to have energy to exercise :dead:
